I realise this will vary hugely across the country but I wondered how much we can expect to pay as it's a few years since I dealt with property!
We just *might* be able to agree an offer on our flat this week. It's leasehold with share of freehold (the certificate is to hand). Any idea of rough costs?
Potential buyers want a quick exchange, as do we so I'll probably look to use a local firm. We're Berkshire if that helps

I think we paid about £600 when we sold our leasehold in London (using a local Berks solicitor but I wouldn't recommend him).

Who was it just so I know to avoid!

Can't remember the exact name (sorry) but we called him The Slug and his office is in London St.
I've had really good dealings with the Head Partnership (employment rather than property dept though) - also dead easy to get to/park at which helps!

Thanks. Had a good experience with the head partnership as a fa so will give them a call
