I think I'm going to put a complaint in against a GP I saw about O. I have no idea how to go about it, how to word it etc. Grateful for some advice from others who have done this on where to start etc xxx

Saw your thread on BT. How shocking. Is there another GP practice you can go to? Not sure about complaining, ring the surgery up and ask them how to do it? That might be enough to put the wind up them. Did you get a prescription for O after all that?
I'd call your HV ASAP and tell them what's happened (did you tell the GP you were there on the advice of the HV?) see if they can bypass the GP and get the referral for you.

First port of call wold be the practice manager. Put it in writing, as if you complain in writing, the surgery must reply in writing. They also have 20 working days to respond from the date they received your letter. If the practice manager doesn't resolve it appropriately, then you can escalate up to the clinical commissioning group.
If you want to write the complaint letter, I am happy to look over it if you want? I respond to patient complaints in the day job, so can come from it from the other side IYSWIM?
