Mine was stressful. H's kids are just... Best leave it at that.
C spent the whole weekend in his room (standard, when H's kids are here), and J was actually really good, if a little over tired. (made up for it last night, he slept for 15 hours).
I got loads of stuff done for the Fayre this month. Made all of my price labels to put on the table, and made the tags for the snowman soup, and magic santa keys. I also made 50 pairs of earrings last night, I now have very sore fingers.
How was everyone's weekend?

It was a manic one here. It was my eldest's 6th birthday last Tuesday and she had a small party at home for her closest friends. Then Saturday we went to a soft play centre that we don't go to very often cos it's an expensive one lol, her cousins came too then we all went to Pizza Hut after. We were going to go and see some fireworks in the evening but we were back quite late from our day out so it would have been a massive rush plus it was peeing down and really windy outside so we gave it a miss. Yesterday we went to West Mids Safari Park and had a great day there.
It must be hard dealing with H's kids when they are getting on your nerves. Poor C hiding away because they are there, such a shame they can't all play together and build a nice bond between them being stepbrothers/sister.
Sounds like you had a very productive weekend! My house is a complete tip now I'm not even sure where to start!!

Saturday was a bit mixed - lazy day mostly with C at home, until he split his lip on the table and ended up bleeding loads and I panicked not knowing if he was going to be needing taken to A&E or not! Fortunately it slowed down and stopped fairly quickly and he was fine. We then went to see some fireworks in the evening which was nice, although ended up costing over £40 with the food, rides, tickets to get in, and crappy flashing light thing that ended up being broken yesterday, plus C decided it was too cold and he wanted to leave when the fireworks had just started!
Yesterday was horrible, C was in a right mood, and basically didn't want me to live there anymore, just wanted it to be him and Daddy. He wouldn't hardly talk to me, sit near me, or let me do anything for him most of the day - I don't know what had gotten into him, but it really upset me. He's ok today and happy for me to stay living with him and MrDD.
In a way I'm glad to be back at work, although would like to have the weekend all over again but nicer!

can I just say that we've had one of the best weekends ever. Luke is being a really good boy, helpful, following instructions, kind, thoughtful and it's making trips out so nice. We didn't do anything amazing this weekend- a trip to toys R us to spend his birthday money and a treat for being brave with some medical procedures, then lunch at Frankie and Benny's. It is so nice to do family stuff and for Luke to be able sit in a public restaurant and eat (be fed) a bowl of soup. Really appreciate the small things after not being able to do things like this for years.

We had a good weekend.
Thursday we went to Blackpool to the Pleasure Beach, weather was great most of the day and all of the kids were very well behaved and we all had loads of fun.
Friday we came home from Blackpool, we were all knackered after a long day on our feet and a late night so me, H and J had an afternoon sleep while E watched a DVD. On the night we went to the local rugby club to watch the fireworks.
Saturday was a chill out day, then E had 3 friends sleeping over.
Sunday H was at work, I was meant to be doing house work but couldn't manage it as I was and still am so sore from a body pump class at the gym so I did nowt instead.

Sounds like some fab weekends were had, excellent. Deedee, C used to be like that with me. He wanted to live with his Nan (possibly because she never told him off, and bought him Lego every week...haha). I know how much it hurts, glad it has passed though.
Frankie - they used to all play together, but step kids kept wrecking C's stuff, and he got sick of it. I gave up trying to get him to play with them TBH. He's 9, he knows who he does and doesn't like, so I can't force him to play with them. They don't like playing with J, they just want to sit, and do NOTHING. Literally, they have no imagination when it comes to playing. We try and encourage them with things, but in all honesty, it's like talking to two brick walls.

really good, we went to my SILs to stay, my mum and dad came too as they get on well with them. On the Sat we went to an RSPCA place so the boys could see the animals, they loved it, then we went to a pub for tea and then back at my SILs her H did fireworks and we had mulled wine and prosecco. Came back yesterday afternoon, was lovely.
