    PM

I'm getting too excited about Christmas so tell me how you will spend your day.

One of the kids usually gets up between 6-7am and will wake the other up.  They'll open their stocking presents on our bed then I'll go downstairs to check if Santa has been and switch the lights on then chaos will descend when they start opening their presents.

We'll then have breakfast and bucks fizz Laugh

Get showered and dressed then go to the PIL for about 11am to swap presents, then go over the road to my parents house and swap presents.  Its usually chaos as there's my two and my niece and this year my one year old niece, all opening presents at the same time, there's so much paper everywhere.

H, my dad and brother usually go and meet people in the pub while my mam cooks dinner and my and my sister play with the kids.

    Dinner is usually about 2.30pm.

After dinner me and H will do the washing up, might leave it to my sister this year as she never does it Laugh

Once the washing up is done we are hoping the weather will be fine as J is getting a bike and E and my niece are getting roller skates off my mam so we are planning on taking them to the park at the top of my mams street for a bit to walk off our dinner and get a bit fresh air.

We are planning on getting home and playing with the kids between 5-6pm, up until last year we would end up staying at my mams til late on and the kids didn't have a chance to play with their presents at home until the following day, also its nice to get home and get into some new PJ's and let it all hang out Laugh

I'll make a buffet tea later on and we'll play some games with the kids, have some drinks and chill out for the rest of the night.

Oh I'm dead excited for Christmas too and I've got Louie's birthday still to go!

This year my sister and her girls are staying over Christmas Eve so we are hoping it will be really magical for them. Not sure on how the sleeping arrangements will work but no doubt Lilly will wake Louie and Freya up to open stockings. Then wake the big girls up for theirs. Downstairs to see if Father Christmas has been. Whilst presents are being opened H will sort us out so fizz and breakfast, then we'll play games and stuff til mid morning when we'll get ready and head to the pub. Home for dinner, the girls are going to their dads, so once they've gone my sister will relax and we'll eat drink and be merry.

Its a bit of a different one this year. We were supposed to have a 4 month old baby and really dont want to be in the house knwoing how different it all should have been. So H and I are going to a lovely hotel in Kent on Christmas Eve, then Christmas morning we will have a lovely breakfast, no washing up! Then do presents in our room, maybe go for a walk in the countryside, then a 5 course lunch at 2.30. In the evening there is a buffet in the lounge where we will stuff ourselves silly and drink loads. Then on boxing day we leave, drive to pick up my step children (10 and 13) and go to see charlie and the chocolate factory in the theatre.

As much as it should have been entirely different (and I am struggling a bit with it) - I am really looking forward to our new plans x

    PM

C wakes me up with his excited giggles at around 4am, opening his stocking. I go into him, we have a chat, then he goes back to sleep for a couple more hours.

Up between 6-7. Kids open their presents off us, then we hand out presents from under the tree. I tell my h to cheer the f**k up.

H will make coffee and breakfast, although the kids usually end up eating chocolate... Well, it is Christmas...

Shower, dressed, tear kids away from their toys, and head to my parents, at around 11. I again tell my H to cheer the f**k up.

Kids tear into their gifts at my Mums, then we exchange gifts with my folks, while the kids are busy playing. Tell H to cheer the f**k up.

My Dad and H will open a can, and play darts, kids play, and I help my Mum with lunch. We eat at around 1.30.

Leave the men to wash up, my Mum and I play with the boys, before extended family arrive. More gift swapping. I tell H to cheer the f**k up.

I help my Mum prepare a buffet, which is just left on the side, for when people want it. Kids are usually busy playing...

C stays at my parents on Christmas night. My mum is working, so J will come home with us.

He always has a face on him, because we haven't got his kids. I tell him to concentrate on the ones who are there, as he is ruining it for everyone else, with his miserable f**king face.

But in general, no, he isn't a fan of Christmas, where as I love it, and have already started watching Christmas films.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to it. I just hope I'm up the duff by then - might make it a bit easier!

AK you really made me laugh! Your H sounds full of the joy of the season haha!

Belle and SW  - your xmases sound great, I cant wait for big family days. Last year we got the kids on Cmas day - albeit at about 7pm. So we had my dad, my bro, MIL and then the kids and then FIL when he finished work  - it was great we had a brilliant time. x
