Isaac has the pox. He's been ill most of the week temps of 39/40 vomitting and diarrhoea and last night started with the pox
he obviously can't go to the cm, I have no childcare all week now and am on nights from tomorrow. IIm hoping he's better by weds and sil was having him but obviously he can't go to her if he's ill and h will take Thursday off so il get a sleep weds and thirds all being well but none on Tuesday I can't have carers days as my work don't class cp as the criteria for carers days
my mum is in Scotland and point blank refuses to ever help out with any childcare, this really pisses me off as she woukd give up work if my sister had a baby or i. Her mutt of a dog was ill but because its me then there's never any help! Thank god I forgot to post her mothers day card!

Oh, that's so rubbish really hope he's better soon and it clears up quickly xxx

That's rotten cp. can't you just go off sick then?? Big hugs all round.
10/03/2013 at 10:06
Not really (I mean I will if I have to) but I was off sick for a week with a chest infection then 3 weeks with mil.
I'm v pissed off with everyone tbh. My h has told me he's doing everything today, great! So wtf are we eating today as he's not took the pork out the freezer despite me texting twice yesterday! Well I'm not doing it now and we aren't buying anything so to make a point il either make everyone an omlette or Itl be roast potatoes veg and gravy !!!
Then my mum and dad, with all the stuff with mil going on they never phoned. Mil died and my dad said 'o, we don't need to come down do we?' Heartless b**tards! Anyway its always the same, I don't expect them to help with childcare, I mean the offer woukd be nice, but what annoys me is they pretend to be doting grand parents. My mums fb page is covered with photos of 'her boys' she's not seen Isaac since June!!! She was attempting to tell me that Isaac eating 'isn't like him at all' how the f*ck woukd she know

Oh cp that's really rubbish. I'm so sorry that you aren't bing supported when you should, but like you say its the pretending to be doting grandparents that's worse. I wish I could say something to make you feel better . Huge hugs x

Its like my aunty and cousins have seen both boys more and then on my mums fb page she will have status about them but only because she's seen it on my status iyswim

Big hugs CP, sounds like you're having a crappy time of late, and it's unfair of your mum and dad to behave like they do. It bugs me when MIL pretends to be the doting grandmother too when she never bloody sees the kids, and she lives 5 mins down the road. I hope I has a mild dose of the pox and recovers quickly.

Sorry I've been AWOL, we have had a lit going on including Shea having a high temp that I think is turning into chicken pox. I know I'm lucky that my mum and fil can be called on, when I've been I'll my mum is a god send so I feel for you. P's mum is the vacant one they writes cards and such implying she is something she isn't to the boys. I can distance myself from it but I know it's a lot harder for H. I wish I was that bit closer to you, I'd have I and we could have a big pox party x

I didnt get paid special leave when Miss CV had CP but they understood I couldn't be in work! I covered it with annual leave, or I could have taken unpaid - is there no way you can get out of 1 or 2 of your shifts?
11/03/2013 at 16:10
Iv no al left and I start my new job a week today, I can't have any sick time as I had a chest infection recently and had a week off with that then 3 weeks sick leave when mil was dying and I was doing all her care. I'm the nurse in charge all week so can't take shifts off,you have to do the whole week if nights iyswim with your own specific team, you can't chop and change, and even if I could then I'd have to go in for day shifts and I still won't have childcare for Isaac as he still has the pox.
Sil is having him weds and h is having him Thursday so thankfully its only tomorrow that I won't get a sleep. H finishes at 1 on a Friday so I usually take him to playgroup 9.30-11.30 on Fridays but since he's got the pox we will stay in and then I can go to bed at 1 when h gets in.
No more nights after this week so its not that bad, in all fairness. I was just fuming yesterday that no matter what we just never even get a but if help from my parents. I'm going to a communion in may in Glasgow and I bet they will attempt to play the doting grandparents as they will have an audience! They'll turn up with bags of toys and sweets and have both boys hanging on every word [sigh]

Your a fab mum CP, I know you don't need telling but to do a great job such as nursing and to raise your gorgeous boys like you are. I just have to say hats off to you! I can struggle to keep on top of things as it is.
And again yep, mil always has lollies and sweets......no matter the age of the grandchild!
