A couple of months ago he paid for me and H to go out for a meal just the 2 of us and he babysat too. then tonight we get an email from West Midlands Safari Park confirming tickets booked for all 5 of us to go there! No warning, he just did it! What a sweetie, it's really made my day as it's somewhere I've wanted to take the kids for a while. He knows we've had a pretty shite year so far and this is his way of making things better. the kids love him although he wouldn't feel confident to have them for the day or anything (I put the kids to bed before we went out when he babysat) he does think a lot of them and I think it's a lovely gesture. Cannot wait to see the kids faces when I tell them we're going, my youngest who is 2 in September is absolutely mad mad mad on animals, literally squeals with excitement at them, so it's going to be so special seeing her reaction at the animals in particular. Happy happy days!

What a lovely thing to do! He sounds like a fab BIL. The kids will have a great time, it's on our list of places to go

How lovely of him. He sounds like a gem.
We took J for his first Birthday, he adored it (and C adored the rides). You also get given a voucher for a free return visit.

That is so nice! I love the safari park, N is totally disinterested in animals though so can't go :-( I may have to force him soon though haha.

I really was touched by his kindness! Think we're going to go the 1st week of the summer hols (in Wales we finish a week earlier than England so hopefully won't be so busy) my 5 year old probably won't be particularly impressed as she's just not into animals but I'm sure she'll get something out of it!
