My sis is 5 days overdue, she has a severe case of the ar$e today (I'm keeping away from her ) so thinking baby is imminent I've made HHs flapjacks for the first time for her new mummy hamper, hope she likes it. Will need to try not to eat it before I get it to her!

I made a double quantity DD since recipe only called for half tin of condensed milk one for sis, one for me...

Good idea, although that's a lot of flapjack, one lot was a huge amount when I made it!!

Yup I realised that a bit too late in the process! I'm sure H will help eat it! And as my sis has only put on 5lbs since her booking appt (constant sickness will do that to you!) I'll give her more than a batch to fatten her up

Thanks DeeDee, I have it saved. My H is running the London marathon and so is in training and not eating things like this, so it will be great to make him some to celebrate once he is over the finish line.

Mmm, haven't made that for ages - will have to go and get some condensed milk tomorrow and make a batch!

When I made it mine fell apart and I never made it again, I wish I knew what I'd done wrong I'd love to try it again!

I made this once. It made me feel very sick and I have never had the inclination to ever make it again! It's interesting, but faaaaaar too sickly for me!

Michy- I found I always had to cook it longer than suggested otherwise it was too sticky and would fall apart.
Raincloud- I did a marathon last year and actually took some with me for energy. My H is cycling John O Groats to Lands End this summer and has instructed me to make a batch before they go!! We love it in our house :)
