What can I do?
My H works full time, I am a SAHM. I can't go back to work as child care would be more than My wages and I don't have an family I could rely on to look after E regularly.
I could do with someone in the same situation as me that wants to go back to work so I can babysit!
Ahhh so fed up of watching the pennies all the time! I want to do something!!

Do you have any hobbies that could be turned into a money making venture? Craft/braking type things seem to be popular. When I was little my mum was in the same position and used to teach guitar privately to make some extra money.
What did you do before being a SAHM? Is this something you could turn into a job you can do yourself? Could you potentially re-train and work from home?

Could you look into child minding? A friend of mine did it and now her kids are back at school she works in a nursery.

I started making jewellery and hair accessories for a bit of extra money. Can you make stuff? It's only pocket money (averaging £40 a week ATM), but every little helps.
Dog walking/pet sitting?

I know a lot of mums who work in the evenings when their other half is home to take over the childcare. They work in call centres or supermarkets.

Same here. My only temporary solution at the moment is clearing off all the things we no longer use or need and selling them. I also made some Christmas sleigh bells which I listed on eBay and have been doing ok.

Snap. I can't return to work for the same reasons although have three months of having to go back to keep my maternity pay so we will be in debt after that. I think working a few evenings a week is going to be my solution.

Currently Im having a big clear out and eBaying loads of things. When I return to work In going bak evenings as we can't afford the childcare either but still means we're getting some pennies in from me.

I'm in the same boat. Wouldn't mind a bit of extra cash.
I did consider nighttime work - supermarket or something - but there were no supermarket jobs in my town!

It's hard at the moment isn't it, as there are so few jobs around. What about some bar work? My friend does some evenings and sunday lunchtimes in a pub.

I know it's not ideal but you could waitress or work in a shop on a Saturday so your H can child mind. Or an evening or two in the week? That's what my friend does and though they don't get as much family time as they'd like, it's free childcare and needs must. Good luck!
