We're really skint this month as my maternity pay has run out so I'm looking at ways to make a few extra ££s. I've tried ebay but didn't get that much from what did actually sell (quite a bit of stuff went unsold).
Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated

Use your local Facebook selling page. Much easier than ebay, no fees! I sell loads on ours, baby stuff, my clothes, old toys etc. It all adds up.

i've tried that too ML. But everyone wants something for nothing round here and the stuff is too good to just give away.

This is probably a stupid question but how do you find a local facebook selling page?

If you do a search for a buy, sell, swap page in your area, it should pop up. or if you have a friend thats a part of the group, they can add you

Have you got any old jewellery stuck in the back of draws? I think it was Belle made a small fortune selling the Elizabeth duke collection of her younger days. High street jewellers give the best rates on silver and gold so I believe.

Thanks FM! Have you investigated any possible PPI claims?

I'm not really a jewellery person and the only decent jewellery I have is sentimental.
No PPI claims as I've never had any credit cards or loans. H has had 1 credit card and has sent off a few weeks ago to try and claim back the PPI from it.

Have you tried gumtree - I have sold and bought a few things on it...

I haven't tried it recently as I was only selling big items but willing to give it a go now if it'll give us a bit of extra cash.

We sold a dining table and chairs, cotbed and gave away a lot of crap that saved us getting a skip!

My friend makes cupcakes and birthday cakes and sells them to friends and colleagues. She did valentines and mothers day cupcakes so i guess the next one is easter ones. Depends if you're a good cook or not I guess! (I'm not!!)

Could you do a table at NCT sale?? PJ xx

I'm not that good a cook to be honest. I can make cakes but not sellable ones!
Sadly there aren't any NCT sales near me coming up. The next one is the end of April and a half an hour drive away.
