Hope everyone is doing ok. We're back, had a lovely holiday. Weather was a bit crappy the first week we were there, got rained on quite a bit. 2nd week has been lovely though. Kids were brill, both loved flying.
The rest was great, the diet has gone out of the window. Now time to start searching for next years adventure.

Glad to hear you had a lovely time despite the weather (it was awful when we went Salou too - the roads looked like rivers one day!) x

Glad you had good time! What did you get up to there, did kids enjoy the food etc? Great that they liked flying!

Yep, we had that Deedee, there was an amazing thunder storm one night too.
We did lots of walking, the kids still got on the beach, we just didn't dare go in the pool, it was like jumping into a bath of ice.

Mossy, i'm glad they were ok with the flying too, it means we can do turkey next year which is another 2 and a half hours further on.
I found the spanish a bit rude, the food was very oily and garlicy. It was lovely to get home last night and have proper sausage, mash and bisto gravy!!

Glad you had a lovely time! X

I've never been to Spain so can't comment on food/Spanish people. It's always nice to get home after a nice long holiday isn't it. Turkey is meant to be good place to take kids

We've been to icmeler in turkey about 5 times and love it. So i guess i was comparing Spain to there, but there is no comparison. Icmeler wins hands down, and so we'll be going there next year if i can get flights at the right price. Accomodation is so cheap, so that's not a problem.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your hollibobs.
Holidays are different for different people aren't they? I LOVE Spain, I love the Spanish but they can be seen as standoffish and rude. We've holidayed in Turkey, it was lovely but I found the people over bearingly nice. To the point of Leave me the fook alone please.
Glad you had a nice time, shame about the weather though

I know what you mean, they can be like that. But we know a lot of the bar owners and resturant owners now so they tend to leave us alone.
I've also decided i'll never go HB again, the food was so repetitive every night, and with H being a veggie he struggled to find much to eat other than pizza and chips in the hotel. So we still ended up eating out a few nights.

glad you had a nice time :)

Oh god yes that musthave been hard for him and I'd put money on the pizza being cooked next to meat / used meat utensils etc. I can only suffer AI for 1 week and then we eat out prob 3 nights. We use up the beer quota to make up for it! Were you at the same hotel as Fi is now? Did you go to the adventure park?
29/05/2013 at 12:33
Glad you had a fab time.
29/05/2013 at 13:01
No, we weren't stopping where Fi is. I can't remember her place, i was looking out for it whilst we were there, but i couldn't remember the name. We went to Port Aventura, it was ok. Not much for E and S to do, they're too small to do many of the rides. We did some of the coasters whilst mum watched the kids so that was good. Quite expensive though to get in, and no where near as good as the theme parks in Orlando.

Oh that's very disappointing! At least you had a good time overall and can look at booking Turkey for next year.
29/05/2013 at 13:21
Yep, i wouldn't say it was the worst holiday, but we've had better. It was good to test the water with the kids and flying, and now i know they're ok, we can go for somewhere a bit further afield.

Have you not taken them to Florida? I thought you were Disney Crazy like the Curly Wurlys.
29/05/2013 at 13:33
We took E to florida when she was 9 months old. The flight was a nightmare. We've not go the money to do it for a few years yet, we've got a savings fund on the go ready to take them when E is 9 and S will be 8. Hopefully then they will be old enough to do most of the rides, and not be too tired as it's quite busy days there.

Ah yeah flying with a 9month old is different to when they are walking and talking. I just thought you've done Florida a trip to Spain / Turkey i nothing
