with my E as I have been tonight. She was in her room with her friend tonight, I sent J up to choose a dvd which are kept in her room, she shouted at him to get out and pushed him out the door as I was walking up the stairs, showing off as usual. I saw his fingers in the hinge side of the door and screamed not to shut it as she did. It was nearly fully closed on his fingers as I got to the top of the stairs and pushed the door to stop it fully slamming closed. I felt sick, J was hysterical and writhing in pain and all she said was it was an accident and could she go and play out. I'm being honest by saying I have never felt such rage towards my child. I thought she had broke his fingers as he was in so much agony it was heartbreaking to watch and I couldn't do anything about it. He went to sleep about hour ago but is still holding his hand up. I think if I wasn't walking up the stairs as it happened he would have no fingertips.

Thanks ladies, his fingers are better this morning but they still hurt and are swollen. I'm still furious about it and have had a word with her about her attitude and how she could of broken of cut his fingers off.

No wonder you're furious.
Glad his fingers are a bit better, it could have been much worse.
I have to tell H's 2 to watch J's fingers. They just don't use their brain, do they? Saying that, I just about managed to stop my Mum shutting J's fingers in the car door.

AK always telling her because she's got a thing about closing her bedroom door fully and practically pushes you out the door to get it closed. Two weeks ago she closed the car door on his head and he had a huge lump.

Aw how horrible :(
I did this to my brother when we were younger, we were playing chase and I ran into the bathroom ramming his fingers in the hinge. He screamed to stop but I thought it was a game. :( id have been 8 and he 6 but I remember it so clearly. His fingers were broken so if unsure at all id get checked. I hope E realises what she did :( I still fell vad now years later.

LM how horrible. He can move them around so I think they are just bruised but I'll keep an eye on them. The thought of the pain is horrendous.

My friend lost the top of her finger when she got it shut in a door as a small child. So she only has 9 fingernails now as the tip on one is missing. It sends shivers down my spine.
I hope he's ok today x

Gosh how horrible. I would have been so angry . Was she concerned about him?

She was more gutted that I sent her friend home, said she couldn't play out and sent her to bed. She did say sorry to him before she went to bed and she is being extra nice to him today and sucking up to me!!

Glad J is ok. Id be livid too. Has she apologised? Id also teach J not to hang onto or toich doorframes. I freak if I see Ls fingers near a door (dont I Lauren? ) when K was about 5 I was doinf her hair foe the disco at a caravan one night. She kept holdinf onto rhe doors frame andbi kept telling her not to. Bwgore I knew it a gust of wind blew the dooe closed! Thankfully I managed to kick it back open and yanked her hand free but we very neatly lost two fibgrrs that night. Oll never forgwt rhe blood or the screams

Belle I'm constantly telling him about his fingers in the doors because this is my fear. She eventually apologised.

Ouch, poor J! Glad she apologised and is being nice to him today. E is the same with putting her fingers into door frames, I hate it! I'd also be livid SW if my daughter did that.
