Does anyone know if you need to have any jabs to go to Thailand? We're going to Bangkok and Phuket.

My friends just gone to Thailand for a year and she had to have a few different ones.
She had to have the Japanese one but on the NHS site it says -
The Japanese encephalitis vaccination is recommended for anyone travelling to a high-risk area (Thailand) who will be:
staying for a month or longer, especially in rural areas or just after or during the monsoon season
visiting rice fields or travelling close to pig farming areas, even if only for a short time
cycling, camping or working in fields, even if only for a short time
Not sure if the same things apply for short holidays rather than travelling etc

Thanks so much for that, link. I keep looking and getting different things come up. Following that 3 months before shock I have phoned up the doctors to sort out having some!
