H didn't get it. Apparently it was really close, but the thing that he fell down on was that he didn't mention team work enough in the interview. The reason he didn't do this was because the guy who was prepping him for the interview told him to big himself up more than he usually does. H is very modest, and doesn't take credit for what he does at work, so he tried to change that when he went for the interview. The woman giving the feed back from the interview said that he should have talked more about how he works in teams.
So you can't win H is gutted. But there is the same job vacancy available within another area of the company, so he's applied for that. The closing date is today. Hopefully he's in with a chance of an interview seen as he's sent the exact same application form in, and considering they obviously liked him before.
He needs a new job, where he is at the moment is soul destroying and he needs out!!

Oh I'm sorry to hear that Chids. Good luck to him for the next one.

Oh no, sorry to hear he didn't get it hope he has more luck in the other job x

Sorry Chids, lots of luck for the next one x
Thanks ladies. I was really hoping he'd get it. He hates where he's at, but he's stuck there until something else comes along.

I know that feeling too well Chids. I was looking for 18months for a new job, so many interviews and rejections

sounds like the company really liked him. I hope the unsuccessful interview has paved the way the next application. x

Carole - I hope so too, and at least he knows what to include if he gets an interview next time

Sorry to hear that Chids. At least they gave him helpful feedback.
Fingers crossed for the next one.

Ak - did your H hear about the interview he was having?
27/11/2013 at 10:23
He did, yes.
H wasn't impressed with the CEO there, and didn't take it. He has used it as leverage in his current job though, and is being promoted to a Director.

That's fab news. So you both win then really. He doesn't get to stop at home which pleases you, and a nice promotion and presumably a payrise?

I assume so. I was so chuffed that he didn't take the other job, I never asked, haha
