Ive just fallen out the front door and when I went over I felt my leg pop. I managed to get the kids into the car and then came back into the house and fainted in the porch . My leg is throbbing and I can wriggle my toes. Its not broken is it? Is it right that if the toes can wriggle its fine? I managed to take the kids to school as I think I was running on adrenaline. Its the popping and fainting that has concerned me xxx

Ooh that sounds awful. Can you walk on it? Can you get to A&E to get it checked out, just in case?

WSWS, I heard a pop when I broke my ankle but you could've buggered a ligament. X
I think with the fainting you should definitely see someone - I remember when I broke my wrist, it was the feeling so sick and almost fainting that made me realise I'd actually done something bad to it and needed it checking out. xx

What the others said - I'd be off to a&e x

Go to hospital and get it checked. My Gramps broke his ankle the other week. He still managed to walk home with it then didn't get it checked for nearly 48 hours because they called Emdoc and was told "it doesn't sound like it's broken"
He can still wriggle his toes - at the end of his plaster cast! Hope you're ok.
get thee to A&E!!

Thanks folks, I can weight bare on it and I can wriggle it up and down, Sideways is agony. Hmmm, I cant get to A and E until tonight as H is at work and I have to get A from Nursery at 12. Im feeling a bit better now and there is a point by my ankle that is painful to the touch. Its aching up my leg though

Can you get to drs before 12? They could take an initial look and see if you need to go to hospital. Tbh i'd just turn up in reception and ask to be seen - might help bypass a&e too. Can someone else collect A for you whilst you get yourself sorted? Poor you - not a good start to the week. X

Pombear, I'm naturally clumsy unfortunately, Having a limp due to my broken foot has knocked me off balance I think. Thanks though xxx

Just got to this. Is there any way you can go to A&E tonight? I know you don't want to cause a fuss but when I sprained mine they said the fact I had walked in was more likely a sign it was broken not sprained but the level of pain was more indicative of a sprain as a sprain hurts more. If you can get seen tonight you can then plan tomorrow in terms of getting kids out and home again. Hope it's ok and we're all just being annoying Internet worry worts :) xx

Ah just seen this. Hope you are in less pain tonight. x x x

Thanks for the concern folks, kitty I'm going in the morning as its aching at rest, I was at a meeting tonight and they were saying the same about a sprain being more painful. I hope it's not broken, I'm supposed to be having an op on my broken foot on the other leg soon lol x
