I'm really looking forw3ard to it this year. We decided last night to have my sister and her girls stay over Christmas Eve as she thought it would be quite sad just her and the kids in her flat. So Christmas Eve plans are finish work at 1pm, jump on train to meet H and Lou at panto, then home for drinks and Christmas prep.
Decorate biscuits for Father Christmas, open our Christmas eve presents (new PJs, reindeer dust and this year those snowman hot chocolate cones) Sprinkle dust for Ruldoph to see, watch a DVD and get snuggly. The kids will be hypo no doubt so we'll let them stay up a little bit late whilst we sip bubbly and eat nibbles. Once the kids are in bed we can get all their presents out and do their stockings. It's going to me magical for them
I'm dead Excited!

Christmas Eve, I bake like a woman possessed (biscuits, cupcakes and flapjack for my folks, and neighbours). When it gets dark, I take the kids into town, to enjoy the atmosphere, see the lights, and buy them a hot chocolate (egg nog latte for me). We leave H at home, as he is a scrooge.
Back home, bathe the kids, then get into new PJ's, and settle down to watch a Christmas film of their choice. Before bed, sprinkle the reindeer dust (which I have made myself, for a Christmas fayre I am doing this month), then leave the mince pie and milk for Santa, and a carrot for Rudolph.
Just before H and I settle down, we set their presents up, and leave their stockings in their room.
Can't wait, as J is so much more aware this year.

If I'm off (have requested Xmas eve and Xmas day off) then we will take boys on Santa steam train again first thing, head to fils for lunch (nothing fancy but just a catch up), head to cemetery to see William, head home and we are doing the elf on the shelf so the elf will have gone but left the hamper full of goodies, last year Xmas eve tea was nigella ham in coke, going to try it in ginger ale this year, then we will watch our Xmas DVD with all our treats, put the reindeer dust out, open 1 pressie from under the tree, put out Santas treats then bed. H and I then get the presents out, have some nibbles and watch the Xmas carols on tv

Will do lovely. I'll put 3 aside for you when they're done.

I'm not sure what we're doing on Christmas Eve yet but I like to hear plans! I think the sledging area we go to has a Father Christmas on Christmas Eve, no idea what goes on exactly, probably just lots of children sledging down the slopes. We will fit in Church either Eve or the next morning. It's just the four of us at home this year so I'm looking forward to it being chilled and not running to someone else's schedule. We can just eat and drink whatever we like and the children can play with their new toys.

I'll have 3 of those too please!

I am so looking forward to christmas, I'm just praying my H is well this year as he was poorly last year :-(
I normally work on Tuesdays but will be off on xmas eve, hurrah! The morning will be pottering around and then in the afternoon we'll be having a party with my cousins and the kiddies to swap gifts. Not sure who's house yet... no one has suggested their own so H and I might offer as I think its our turn (just waiting to see if anyone else comes forward first!) My sister and her boyfriend will come as her boyfriend dresses up as FC for us, he's a big rugby player type so looks perfect in the costume but last year split the trousers so all the photos show a big hole in the crotch.
We'll do the kiddies pressies and have nibbles and then head over to my mum and dads, mum will do something yummy to eat and we'll do xmas eve pressies (boys Pjs, liking the hot choc idea too Belle!) Boys into bed, then we'll put all the pressies under the tree, love doing this! Will do the boys stockings when we go to bed and put them at the end of their beds. OOH can't wait!

Everyone's plans sound good! This is the first year that it'll be just me H and M, my mum is usually with us from before Xmas eve, so I'm looking forward to just us having family time. No massive plans yet, during the day I think go delivering presents, then my friend is talking of having a get together in the afternoon, mulled wine and mince pies. After that, back home abd going to do a hamper this year, CP I'm so stealing your idea of the elf on the shelf leaving it! So poss a takeaway tea, then new jammies, hot choc in front of a Xmas DVD then M can sprinkle reindeer dust and put out her stocking for santa, along with mince pie and milk (or beer if H gets his way!) And carrot for Rudolph obviously. Bed for her after night before Xmas story, then H and I will sort out her presents etc, MIL usually pops over late on with our presents, then some telly and bed for a nice early start the next day!
Does everyone leave kids stockings in their bedroom? I reckon M would get up and open the stuff in it before she woke us!

Ok, I shall put 3 of each aside for you Belle.

Wicked thanks AK!

Ooh this post has got me all excited .
My H shoots Saturday before Xmas so hopefully he'll come home with something yummy for dinner. So we'll get up and probably go out for late breakfast at the local farm shop so E can see rudloph (they've reindeer) And the big xmas tent. Then we'll go home so I can do dinner preps for xmas day. We'll have late lunch/early tea about 3 and no doubt H and E will lay around watching xmas films between breakfast and then! As it gets dark we will head to town for hot chocolate and cake for supper and we might manage a trip to church. Then we'll bath and do new OJs and stocking hanging, leaving goodies for Santa and opening the treats. Crackersn and Stilton. Xmas tree goodies too! The we'll pop E up to bed after her leaving goods for santa and read the night before Xmas, and her letter from Santa. Then all the presents from Santa will be sorted and find their way under the tree.
