I'm at work and we've just received a letter about a person who is dying who needs our service - nothing new as due to the nature of our service it happens every day. One of the girls got the letter and she was mumbling how horrible and sad. She said she had a letter about a girl born in 1980, same as me, who has less than 6 months to live. I read the letter and realised its about a girl I went to school with
I knew she had been diagnosed with cancer but I didn't realise how serious it was, I was really shocked, its so sad - she is 33 next month. It makes you realise how short life really is, I can't stop thinking about her and her parents. I've never seen her since school so don't know her but its such a shock.

That's so sad.
I remember a couple of years after I left school, a school friend died of cancer, she was 18, not long got engaged to her boyfriend, and had her whole life ahead of her. It made me so sad. I still think of her to this day and wonder what she'd be doing now if she had survived.

That is so sad!
It does make you think though, no matter how old / healthy you are you aren't untouchable so you should keep on top of checking your body and smears etc!
Don't ever think it will never happen to me!
:( bless her x

Life is cruel. My beautiful friend died just before i had Phoebe, from a brain tumour. Leaving behind her husband and sons. I cried and cried. It shouldnt happen.

How sad. Really makes you think. There are a couple of people who have died from my year in school, not to cancer but still so sad when they still had their whole life ahead of them. I know one of them had 2 kids.
