A book I ordered called Music Listography has just arrived. It's basically a book of lists you create about music. Just had a flip through and the title of this thread caught my eye.
Which songs could have be written about you?
The first song that springs to mind for me is Rocking Chair by Oasis. It reminds me of the kind of relationship I have with a certain someone in my life and how I felt towards the end of my pregnancy about others.
The lyrics (C&P them and they've gone all funny!) are:
I'm older than I'd wish to be This town hold no more for me All my life I try to find another way I don't care for your attitude You bring me down I think you're rude All my life I try to make a better day
It's hard enough being alone Sitting here by the phone Waiting for my memories To come and play
It's hard enough sitting there Rockin' in your rockin' chair It's all too much to take When you're not there
*goes off to think of more*

One that springs to mind is Adele's 'someone like you' reminds me of someone I loved when I was a lot younger and it never really happened for us.

Ha, I used to always think that a Shania Twain song was about us, that one 'looks like we've made it' lalallalala

Best Thing You Never had by Beyonce reminds me of a bloke i loved for years but he just strung me along and nothing ever happened. Just after i met H he asked me out properly and i could happily say "no thanks!". He pestered for years even though he got married and had kids so he turned out to be a bit of a $&!$bag. Lucky escape!

Screamager by Therapy? was one which was very relevant in my teens - it has the line 'I've got nothing to do but hang around and get screwed up on you' which was the situation I was in with a guy at the time.
