So I made the malteser cheesecakse for MrDD for Christmas day, and it was gorgeous even if I do say so myself! So yummy and creamy, although the topping was a little sloppy. Unfortunately it nearly all got eaten yesterday apart from a very small piece we left at my parents, but luckily there was so much mixture that wouldn't really fit in the tin properly, I made two small ones so MrDD has another one for today, and I'm taking one for my Grandad this afternoon.
So here's the finished item for anyone who can face looking at food again today
I'll definitely be making it again, although if anyone has suggestions of how to adjust the recipe so the topping isn't so sloppy let me know.
And here's the recipe in case anyone missed it http://justaddeggs.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/malteser-cheesecake.html?m=1 (although for some reason the page still won't load for me!)

I made this too!! Also found it made far too much topping, I made 4 individual little pots extra. My topping wasn't sloppy at all, did you whisk the cream enough? I thought I'd over whisked mine but it's turned out fine and is just the right consistency.

It might be not whipping it enough, but my Dad pointed out that I shouldn't whip it too much! I'll ignore him next time.

What did you do to stop your base from sticking to the tin? I greased mine with butter but it was still really stuck :-(

Thanks, it was very delicious!
Missus - I made mine the day before too, probably helped it set a little bit.
Mossy - I just used a ring on top of a baking tray and lined it with foil rather than a tin as I didn't think it would come out.
