Does anyone wear maxi skirts during the summer? I saw some really cute ones at the weekend but resisted as think I need a buddy to say yay or nay. Do you just team with a vest top? I like the look but for some reason the skirts seem heavier - as in more material - than a maxi dress, not sure if that would get on my nerves.

I think they look nice on slim tallish people, I don't think I could carry one off though. They look nice with vest tops and flats. I haven't tried one on to comment about the amount of material.  Probably not the most practical thing to wear if you're like me and often playing on the floor with the kids.

That's what I'm thinking Mossy, will it just get on my nerves and I'll end up changing. I do love a maxi dress though! Maybe my inner hippy is trying to break free!

I don't like them.  Well, they are maybe ok on boho types, but not on me.  They do look like they have loads of material.

Ha ha nothing bad I promise! Just a stylish, groomed woman who wouldn't be seen dead out and about without hair done & make-up/nails done and lovely clothes!

I have ordered a black one from ebay. Its nice and comfy and I find it easier than a maxi dress, although I havent worn it out yet. If its a slim fitting jersey one, then a vest top, too much material otherwise!

I have a couple that I wear with a vest top and if its cooler a scarf (which I can then use to cover up if we go to a mall)

I have a couple that I wear to work with a vest top or t-shirt style top. Similar to WS I use scarfs if it's colder or a cardi, but I suspect a blazer may look good too - just not suitable for my day to day wear at work.
