Just wondering. We lost my grandad before Xmas and his and nans wedding anniversary is coming up.
What would you do? Send nan a card still? Seems inappropriate somehow. Still buy flowers.?

Definitely still celebrate, they are still married, she's just widowed. My nana always celebrates her wedding anniversary and my grandad has been dead 32years!

Yeah I think it should be acknowledged/celebrated. Even if you just got her a little card to say you are thinking of her etc.

I'd send flowers and see if she'd like taken out for lunch. Tbh though best to ask her, she might want to go lay flowers or something?

Thanks ladies. Nan is now in a home so I think I'll arrange to take in her favourite cake and whiskey.
That's also a very good point weekender. She can't walk etc to get out but I really must ask if she'd like flowers laid on her behalf.
