Help me decide what to do.
We have Robbie tickets for next Friday. We got a hotel which we later find out isn't as close to Wembley as we'd like and is apparently in a bit of a rough area. (Travelodge Wembley ) Its about a half mile walk to a station from the hotel. We thought we'd drive to hotel then walk to the station at the beginning of the night and train it to Wembley but taxi back to the hotel later.
My H's health is up and down atm, its causing tension at home, we could really do with a night away together.
H's sister lives in Aylesbury and can get a train direct to Wembley from hers, so the suggestion has been made that we drive to hers and go with them then stay at hers after, and sell our hotel room on e bay.
Staying at my SILs would be fine, but I do like the idea of staying in a hotel for the night, even if its not a posh one! The only thing thats putting me off is that some reviews say its rough round there and it makes me a bit nervous.
I think if we stayed in the hotel we'd be back there sooner than if we stayed at my SIL so if H felt poorly we could get back to the hotel.
If we stayed at my SIL I wouldn't worry about being mugged!

Stay at SILs for safety! And you'd save some money to spend on yourselves as part of the weekend?

If I were you I would stay at your sil. At least if your h does take bad then st least you are all staying in the same place and it's not just up to you to help him etc. It sounds easier all round to me.

Depending on your H's illness is it likely that he would need to get somewhere quickly if hes feeling rubbish? Also if he is feeling rubbish would your SIL be happy to leave the concert early too go home with him?

Yes, she would be happy to leave with him, infact she'd insist on it!
Well firstly I said to H 'Lets stay in the hotel' but had this feeling of unease in my chest about it all- I hate worrying - then I said to him 'I'm worrying, lets stay at your Sisters' and now I feel better about it but I feel like I've made the boring choice but at least I know I'll have a clean warm bed- the reviews on the hotel were pretty pants too!

I think you've made the right decision. I think if you had booked a lush 5 star hotel then you would be disappointed but since it's a hotel with bad reviews I would think more about the money you are saving and hopefully you can get a weekend away when h is better x

I think you've done the right thing too. I understand about wanting the night away too though - any chance you can get that in the near future?

I'd stay at the hotel tbh if you need time together. Who is to say that you wouldn't get mugged en route to the sisters? I just think if you got a taxi to the door there would be no issue

We stayed in that hotel a couple of months ago when we saw a show at wembley too. The hotel and food were nice enough but it defiantly wasn't the nicest area (I went to the garage for snacks and saw police helicopter and about 5 police cars!) also getting to wembley itself was a pain, it took us 2 buses! I defiantly wouldn't stay there again! X

If you're going to be that far away from the stadium in a hotel then can you not look for somewhere the same distance away but in a nicer area?
Sounds like you've made your mind up to stay at SIL's though - seems the best choice reading some of the hotel reviews.
