    PM

Sorry I know I go on and on about this.

G's birthday in 13days. She's going to be 17. We were planning on giving her £200 to go shopping, in addition to having her hair nails and lashes done, she was then going to go clubbing that night. We can't get her fake ID though so she's unsure on whether she will get in to the club. Anyway last night we were discussing Birthday's & Christmas and my god it's hard work with my two. Dunno Dunno Dunno then everything everything everything Laugh

G mentioned hair extensons, driving lessons, a shopping day on Oxford Street, Uggs, and a laptop. Hair extensions I said no to as they would ruin her hair, just be a phad and if she wants them she can pay for them herself. Driving lessons we'd happily get but she needs to save half her insurance money which is £2k so that can wait until next year. Shopping day in London - no problem, Uggs no problem. Laptop she soon retracted as she said she wouldn't use one because you can't get Instgram on it Weep

So do you think we should give her £200, scrap the lashes and nails appointments and instead put that money towards a makeup session at MAC in Covent Garden or HoF Oxford Street? Her and her best mate could come into town the Monday after her birthday (becuase she's at college on her birthday) and then she has the money to spend in London. If she wants to buy Uggs she can otherwise we can get them for Xmas.

    What do you think?

Now we've said K isn't having a birthday but we've bought her a replacment iphone - a second hand 4 - she knows nothing about it and still thinks her birthday is cancelled. She said last night she'd like some new clothes and also a Hollister Jacket. We're still set on getting her a laptop for Christmas as she was saying last night she's definitely use one "tons". Do we get her Topshop voucher towards some jeans she wants as well as the phone for her birthday, then the laptop and Jacket for Xmas? Or jacket for now as she'd get more use out of it and then clothes for Xmas?

    Why can I never decide?!

I think a makeup lesson would be good at mac as she can then follow it up at home when she is doing her own makeup from what she has learnt

I don't think you get k the laptop, if she's got a phone then I can't see she'd need it much

Bet Louie seems easy compared to those 2 lol

CP K will need the laptop as she will be doing lots for school  (GCSE year) and can also watch dvds on it as no TV in their room. H uses our laptop loads for his work so they rarely get a proper chance on it. We thought G might want or need one for college but not really.

I'd def prefer a mac makeup session, even at my age, so would def go with that (WE adds to her Christmas list!)

As for K, Im mean and wouldn't give her the phone till later, I'd just get her the jeans for her birthdat. Or maybe make her earn the phone through additional chores or something? I see the sense in getting the jacket now but if she thinks her birthday is cancelled I'd buy jeans rather than a (I assume) more expensive jacket.

    God teenagers are expensive!!

I would give G the £200 and ask her what she wants, either the make session or nails and lashes done.  The thing about the Mac makeup lesson is, is that its £50 and that isnt going to get her much product wise.  Will she able to afford to buy other stuff or would she just get it out of the £200?   Uggs, I would either get her that for her Christmas or she can buy them with her money.  There are usually voucher codes flying around

You know what I think about K (I am the biggest softy out haha), I would just give her the phone.  Does she need a new jacket just now. it is getting colder?  I would be tempted to get her the jacket or vouchers with the phone and the same again with the latptop for Christmas

G is makeup crazy Fi and keeps going on about MAC so she would easily get 2 products with the £50 and either buy more with the £200 or even her own money (she earns about £150pw now working in a pub!) Uggs she can decide on herself. She's got her student card so always gets discount in stores too - the joy of being 17!

K's just bought herself a little biker jacket about 3 weeks ago with her pocket money so no she doesn't need a new coat (she also has a quilted barbour style one) but tell that to a 14yo - it's what they want that matters Laugh So you saying just give her phone for bday and other stuff save for more at Xmas?
