    I want to start meal planning but am absolutely clueless, help please? Hints, tips, lovely recipe ideas??? Thanks

    We always have a roast on Sundays and then the rest if the meat on a Monday either in a curry or sturfry or again with potatoes or something.

    This week we have had :

    Monday - sausage casserole from freezer from last week

    Tuesday - oxtail stew

    Wednesday - chicken curry

    Thursday - boys and h had Provençal cod and I had a slimming world quiche

    Friday - slimming world KFC chicken, chips and coleslaw

    Saturday - I'm out, h and boys having pizza

    Sunday roast chicken, veg and potatoes

    Monday - chicken, noodles, veg

    Tuesday - slimming works cowboy pie

    Wednesday - homemade burger, sweet potato wedges and corn on the cob

    Thursday - mushroom and ham frittata

    Friday - I'm nightshift so will have pea and ham soup and h and boys having lamb koftas with dip

    If I'm making a meal I always try to get one or 2 portions out of it for the freezer so that when I'm working it can be for tea for either me or boys or boys can have as a lunch iyswim

    I do the same as cherry pie. Ill cook something that is double what we need so we can put two portions in the freezer for another time. For example ill make a spaghetti Bolognese sauce which we'll have with pasta. Then the two portions can be eaten with a jacket potato or mash or couscous or pasta another evening. If we have chicken on a Sunday lunch ill use the cold chicken with salad or in sweet & sour on the Monday. There's usually some to make sandwiches for lunch& ill use the carcass &odd veg to make soup.
