If I'm making a meal I always try to get one or 2 portions out of it for the freezer so that when I'm working it can be for tea for either me or boys or boys can have as a lunch iyswim

I do the same as cherry pie. Ill cook something that is double what we need so we can put two portions in the freezer for another time. For example ill make a spaghetti Bolognese sauce which we'll have with pasta. Then the two portions can be eaten with a jacket potato or mash or couscous or pasta another evening. If we have chicken on a Sunday lunch ill use the cold chicken with salad or in sweet & sour on the Monday. There's usually some to make sandwiches for lunch& ill use the carcass &odd veg to make soup.
