L's nursery are always looking for new ideas for their menu. All food is cooked on site and the have some lovely sounding meals. This week they have:
Vegetable casserole, chilli with polenta, hearty irish stew, caribbean chicken with rice & peas, then sausage mash & gravy. Other meals they've had are things like African chicken with cous cous, fish pie, roast dinners...
I'm rubbish with meal ideas, and poor L tends to have the same things over & over again. So can anyone help think of yummy wholesome meal ideas for the nursery menu?

They do all that stuff anyway. They have morning snack, then afternoon tea which is usually picnic picky style foods.
I'm after weird and wonderful things your mum used to cook, like that stovvie dinner whatever that is

I make stovies and serve with oatcakes. You can serve them with rumbledethumps (cabbage, onion potato and cheese) but iv only done that twice

The schools I used to go into served jollof rice which seemed popular, also our nursery serves curry. Or a mild version of jerk chicke rice and peas.
My mum. Used to make corned beef hash too which I make for the kids, corned beef might be a bit salty though
