It's her birthday next week and I have no idea what to get her- she is sooo hard! She doesn't have any photos of M yet so I might get a canvas printed (hoping Photobox or similar will have an offer on soon!) What do you buy MILs?! Last year I got her a silver bracelet that had her birthstone on it but she has never worn it I steer clear of clothes, undies, PJs, etc...

My mil was a nightmare to buy for so we ended up just paying for her to go for a meal and a show. We paid for a Wimbledon ticket once and she went in a steam train for dinner too.

We tend to do the same at Christmas CP- wine tasting, a show and dinner last year. She isn't into sports at all or that could have been an option! I might be boring and ask SIL to pick up a voucher for a spa or something...

My mil wasn't into sports but liked telling everyone her son had got her tickets to Wimbledon (yes not the dil who researched everything, bought them, got a box to present them in, checked she had a spare annual leave day, checked with fil he could go too whilst my h told me the night before it was her birthday that he was just going to get her a card and night out some money in )

MIL usually gets a boots voucher for make up.

How about a new handbag or purse or a nice Dior nail varnish and lipstick? A spa day, theatre ticket. A canvas of M is a great idea. Or how about doing an album of the children on photobox

I could get her some nice makeup or a voucher. I steer clear of purses/handbags as she has a wardrobe full! I think an album would be nice too!

Show tickets, virtually always! Good that my mum also likes shows so they go together!
