Morning girls hope you are all ok. Shattered, Isaac has been up since 5.30, h started work at 6 so it was his banging about that woke him anyway I start my nights tonight so I literally won't have sleep now till 8.30 tomorrow I've sent an abusive text to h, didn't think that was enough so phoned him too and hurled some obscenities at him furious! Now I'm going to be so grumpy on my nightshift tonight!
anyway! Stood on scales as this is the last attack day and I've lost a pound so that's 5 since I started last week, still 2 to go to get to prechristmas weight though. Won't weigh myself again now though till either fri or mon. Hoping no one bakes for nights or that no one brings in sweets. Was planning just to take soup or yoghurt and oat bran with me.
dd I've found some dukan apps with some good recipes so will mail them to you.
B- yoghurt and oatbran
L - crab sticks tuna capers
T - chicken curry (no rice)

Sorry to hear you've had a crap start to the day! Can you please share you soup recipe? Also how long does the dukan diet last? Once you're allowed veg again is it something you will always follow or do you switch to 'normal' healthy eating?
AFM I was so good yesterday til dinner time, made our ramen for dinner (not bad for first attempt) but it didn't quite fill the hole so I had some tinned fruit & natural yoghurt. All very good I hear you say, that was until K opened a tin of honey roasted peanuts. 5 handfuls, yes 5 I had. Bloater!
Today I have WW yoghurt for breakfast, spicy carrot & coarinder soup for lunch. Dinner will be either another ramen or tomatoe & mozeralla salad.

KS nuts aren't that bad are they? Better than wine or chocolate so look at it like that.
Well dukan (if you are doing it properly) is meant to last forever. You do 4 phases, attack which is where you just eat pure protein. You can do this between 3-7 days depending how much weight you need to loose. Then you move to the cruise phase where you stay till you reach target weight. In the cruise phase you either have pure protein for 5 days then protein and veg for 5 days or you can do it 2 days on and 2 days off which would be easier. Then you move to consolidation, where you introduce low gi carbs so fruit and brown rice/pasta but I've no idea what you do in the last phase .
Before Xmas I did attack for a week then just had veg and meat every day after that so not the cruise phase. I just didn't eat pasta, potatoes, bread, crisps etc. you aren't meant to drink on it but I did after 4 weeks as I had a night out.
O also you have to have oat bran every day on dukan. It binds to fat so I tend to have it in yogurts as its filling but you can make cakes or bread or coat meat in it.

CP - urgh, it's awful when you're so tired, can't imagine having to go so long without any sleep! Thanks for the message, just seen it - I'll have a look through Definitely interested in any apps that might help!
Belle - don't worry about the peanuts now, forget about yesterday and just concentrate on today! If you have a look on the official Dukan website, you can put in your details and it works out how long you need to do each stage for - last time I did it almost 18 months ago, I got to goal in just under 4 weeks (13lb loss)! I've got other websites that have ideas for meals and recipes if you are interested.
A fairly good day here yesterday, although the chicken MrDD had bought for dinner was filled with cheese! I scraped some of it off but decided a little wouldn't hurt.
I also weighed myself this morning as I've now done 3 days of attack since me going off the rails on Thursday so I wanted to see where I'd got to - just under 3lb off in those 3 days, and 2.5lb from pre-Christmas weight so not doing too bad! Onto the cruise today, so lots of lovely veggies!
B - lemon cake
L - veg soup, yogurt
S - crab sticks and ham
D - pork loin and veg, jelly and yogurt.

Nuts aren't taht bad no but honesy roasted ones are!
That diet sounds so complicated I'd do my nut in trying to figure it out let alone being able to afford it. Are you staying on it forever then or once you hit target maintain then go back to attack every now & then?

AFM - I'm back on it with a vengeance - I have a wedding dress to fit into in August!!

L: supernoodles and ham, mullerlight, 2 tangerines and nectarine
D: Chicken chassuer (6syns) mash and mixed veg.
I'm saving my milk for tea and coffee through the day....

CP - Lack of sleep sounds pants - how often do you weigh in?
Belle - Oo I love those nuts - don't wprry I bet it wont affect you! Give yourself some time back on the WW wagon - diets like Dukan are great for a quick loss but in my experience it doesnt stay off - at least ww is adapting your eating but in a normal way. (Sory Dukaners - I just don't believe it can be healthy and sustainable long term).

DD - Bad MrDD for buying bad chicken - sound snice though. SOunds like you are back in the zone.
AFM - I'm back. Can't keep doing this stopping starting malarky so back to it today until my birthday so around a month till I will eat something bad/tasty.

Morning ladies, I started back on my diet on Sat, was pretty good yesterday apart from a small slice of birthday cake but went for a run in the morning so that burnt some calories. Today I'm p!ssed off, I was meant to be at work today then hitting the gym but I am ill with a head cold so haven't gone into work and could barely get myself out of bed so no gym for me. B-cereal, l-sandwich, d-jacket potato or chicken and veg.

1st baby - my birthday is my next goal too!
Today I'm feeling rubbish! But need to lost the weight!! I'd like to lose 2stone by time I return to work in July, I think it's a bit high. But am setting little goals along the way. Just need to find time to do exercise as I don't seem to have anytime at the minute with the kids and I know it won't help if I don't do any.
B - cereal
L - soup and satsuma
D - sausage and mash.
Cutting my portions right back and using mfp.
Will be weighing on Friday.

1stBaby, I won't be doing Dukan. I'm wondering if things like that and Atkins are only short term fixes which is why I'm asking about the long term plans. It's great, in fact it's bloody brilliant to lose 5lbs in a week, 13lbs in 4weeks, amazing! But does it go back on when you get back to reality? I'm just curious.

PJ - 2 stone is deffo doable - just dont look at that as your goal - look at it as 7 lbs in jan etc.
SW - Get well soon - hope you can get back to normal soon.
Belle - I think thats why diets dont work. Lets be honest, the only reason the majority of us are overweight is because we eat too much. By doing dukan, atkins, slim fast lighter life, it cuts your calories right down and sure you loose weight but it all goes back on once you eat normally. Thats why I like ww and sw. I am getting back into the zone and will attempt to finally get to goal this year. I was 9.12.8 this morning so only 10lbs to loose and lots of toning to do.

Hi ladies, can I join this thread. I'm back on it again today. My ww starts back tonight haven't been for 3 weeks. I've got about 10lbs to lose to get ack to goal. It's taken me so long. I haven't been to the gym/ run for at least 6 weeks, I had a cold and tooth abscess before In dec felt rough for week and finally I went out for a run this morning, j went back to per school and l slept over at her grandparents. I feel so much better already.
For me I'm a ww'er I've been doing it on/off for 16 years. What do any other ww'ers think about the new aspect of the plan?

I eat mainly Sam me things. I just have cut back portion sizes. I lost 2.5 stone last year in 3months but I was doing exercise. I'm just hoping u find some time for it. I have only put on 12lbs since having my baby but I just feel rubbish. I need to be much happier With how I look. Must make more effort. Think losing two stone will help!

Tbh I'm not sure if it is a quick fix, as I said I'm not doing any of the other phases just the attack as a kind of detox then Itl just be low gi which I was doing before so very low carb, I think slimming world is very similar to dukan tbh. If you are doing the dukan properly (4 stages) then it becomes your way of life, a girl at work has managed to keep it off a year but her lifestyle has totally changed so she eats healthily and cycles everywhere which I suppose is the best way to be tbh. I suppose a lot of diets can be quick fixes because the first time I got my ww gold members badge, I stopped the meetings and before I knew it a stone had gone back on within a month or 2 , so it was nice whilst it lasted.
Iv been on a diet most of my adult life and ww just doesn't work anymore, I can't add in chocolate/crisps etc in my plan because I just can't stop with what they tell you is ok iyswim. So by doing low carb iv realised I can survive without bread/crisps, iv learnt loads of recipie variations too. Yes 5lbs is a lot in a week but when I did ww the first time I lost 6 in the first week so its all relative.
My main aim was to do this attack week to get rid of all the bloating, then just low carb. I think low carb can work long term, whether it does for me remains to be seen (eek!), my biggest vices are alcohol, bread and crisps but I noticed over Xmas that I felt so bloated after bread so I'm going to constantly remind myself that in the hope that I steer clear
Belle/1st Baby - the weight does come off quickly yes, although it's bloody hard to stick to, but then that's not the end of the diet - you're supposed to go onto the next stage of consolidation which is quite a bit longer (5 days for every lb you lose) where you gradually add back in carbs and fat to your diet, plus allowing you a "celebration" meal once a week to start with, then twice a week. After that you then go onto stabilisation where you eat normally, but have one Dukan day a week where you only have the protein and fat free foods (same as the attack stage). As you can tell I put the weight back on, but then again I only stuck to the consolidation stage for a few weeks so it's not surprising really - if you do follow it properly you will keep the weight off, and other thing I like about this diet other than the fact you lose the weight quickly is that it teaches you to eat properly again when you are adding the other foods back in which for me is a huge thing. It does seem to be a quick fix thing, but it's the only diet that's worked for me since having C, with WW or using MFP I just end up cheating too often and can't keep motivated for the length of time required to lose the weight on those.

PJ - 2 stone by July sounds doeable to me - the first time I did WW I lost 2st 2lb in about 6 months, but most of that was in the first 4 months and then had a AI holiday where quite a bit went back on!
PB - well done on getting out for your run this morning! I saw the WW plan was changing, but never looked into what the changes were.

DD Noone is saying it's right or wrong and different things work for different people. As I've said to CP many a time I don't have the brain capacity to work out a Duka menu let alone stick to a complete diet.

I know Belle, just pointing out it's not entirely a quick fix if you want to keep the weight off - if you were to go back to eating normally you would put the weight back on in a short space of time (I put 6lb on at Christmas which is over half of what I'd lost the previous 4 weeks because I was eating bread, Christmas cake, puddings, chocolates etc.), but it's not supposed to end once you've lost the weight. I think once you've worked out some of the basics of what you can eat it makes it easier, I don't make anything particularly complicated, just lots of different meats and yogurt but then I'm quite a simple person when it comes to food and not particularly adventurous!

Sorry I'm being a bit crap at posting ATM....we hit 9 months and O has turned into Velcro baby all of a sudden, and doesn't sleep for long without crying for a cuddle! Argh! I have my first proper weigh in at WW this wednesday and after a good week I'm positive I will have lost a decent amount!
Today I'm planning on kickstarting the 30 day shred (even if I have to do it while O is awake!)...fingers crossed Jillian doesn't finish me off!
B - 2 x toast with flora extra light
L - WW chicken chop suey with extra veg and a muller light.
D - Jacket potato with beans and low fat cheese

Hi ladies, just tucking into my tuna salad at the moment, have no idea what is for tea tonight though. I just need to get through this first week (to Thursday) and hopefully see a loss to motivate me. I have stopped all the snacking I was doing but still not fully in the zone. Shredding starts tonight after a 2 week break though so hoping that will help going straight back onto level 3.
