Does anyone have plans yet for Mother's Day?
I'd like to go out, take mum out too, but pricing it up it's going to be expensive even if we went for a cheap option. Every year we always end up cooking at home and it's pretty darn boring if I'm honest. I'm hoping Groupon or similar have an afternoon tea offer soon so I can buy that for me and mum then H will just take us out for Mother's Day to keep the cost down and drop in to mum for a few hours in the morning

When is it?

I doubt we will be doing anything. Last year i didn't even get a card.
No plans at all! My parents will be on holiday in Mexico so won't be seeing my Mum, haven't even thought about what me, MrDD and C can do yet. Afternoon tea sounds a nice idea, might keep my eye out for something like that round here too!

My ideal day would be to have a lie-in for one morning of the year followed by lunch out with homemade cards from the girls...the reality will be me getting up 1st as usual with the kids, having a normal day, maybe H will cook lunch if he invites his mum round but mainly a normal day for me!! Will have to wait for the girls to be a lot older to spoil me! H will probably buy a card for me from them if he gets chance.

i certainly hope this mother's day is a darn sight better than my first ever. i had to get up with the baby, didn't get the lie in that had been promised to me, didn't get a present, only got a card because i had to remind him, then had to leave C at my mum's whilst i went and got my hair done (which cost a fortune, and i didn't even like).
i will be WELL pi55ed off if i don't get a lie in. and a cup of tea in bed.

Apart from my mission to get Mum in the picture...no I've nothing planned.
Always like Mother's Day though, C arrived the day before (on an entirely different date, it's really early this year) and my Mum delivered him. I still think of it as her day rather than mine.

aww ssh that's lovely!

We never go out for lunch or to any big attractions as they are always really busy/over priced/not good quality food. This year will be hs first without his mum so I reckon we will just see how h feels on the day. I always get a lie in. H always buts chocolates but tends to hover round like a vulture and il end up giving him most of them

No plans really. Will maybe go and see my mum at the garden centre and have brunch with her but that is after my lay in!

We're out the night before at a 40th birthday and have then got swimming in the morning so I think I'll just do a roast in the afternoon at home for my mum/dad, me/H and Ned.

No plans really... hope my mum has us over for a roast!
I don't like March, too expensive! I have my mums b'day, best mates b'day, H's B'day and E's B'day, plus mothers day.

It's also my sisters birthday on march 10th and I'm working all day!!as I work in a spa I might try and get a treatment booked in after my shift and just before I go home to hopefully a nice meal!!x

I would like to go out for the day not a meal as a meal is hard work with a 3 year old and 19 month old so thinking of going somewhere where I can take a picnic (weather permitting), somewhere like Warwick castle or Blenheim palace would be nice. I will have to look into it and decide where to go that the kids would enjoy too

We went for a walk on the beach last year and then had hot drink in cafe followed by roast in a local pub. This year i doubt we will go out for lunch. R gets bored quickly and doesnt become fun! I'm not even sure H will remember.
