Just stumbled across this site.
Think I've worked out how it works.
Has anyone tried it?
Seems too good to be true, which usually means one thing.

I had a look at this site the other day - and read the details I also sent them a contact me message asking for them to clarify something for me.
To me it appears that you have to buy the bids you can then bid on what you want and you may or may not win that item for that price, however you will have used up a bid - or three therefore it is gambling really rather than like on ebay when you bid - if you win you pay if you dont - you dont and you it doesnt cost you anything. ( I am a bit of an ebayer and done my fair share of selling and buying on there!)
I contacted them asking for them to clarify if this is how it works and they havent replied
I would be very careful.... I think that people buy bids and this is how the website makes the money to tehn eventually sell these items so cheaply. So you could loose out. I may be very wrong but was tempted but will wait to see what they say on their reply first....... Sometimes things that appear to good to be true are..... if anyone gives it a go let me know.

Oh thanks Charmaine-bit of a gamble then? I was sort of thinking how could they make a decent profit if it was as it first appeared? Iyswim????
Think I'll leave it,but Charmaine,if I could please pick your brain a moment hun,I'm thinking of selling on e-bay,if I wanted to package something up,shall I just wrap it up,take it to PO,and get them to weigh and price it,is that the price no matter where you send it in uk???
I'm so dense at things like this Just thinking of having a clear out,and would love not to get up 4am to do bootsale!!!!! Lazy arse I know, keep wanting to use the pc more too, still a complete novice!!!!!!
Any advice for e-bay selling gratefully recieved-Charmaine or any other keen sellers,Thanks in advance and please explain like you were to a child

OMG serious??? How handy is that???
Why the hell have I not done this before? Thicko that I am,well I think I'll get onto that this weekend then.
Got sooo many books, was thinking of starting some sort of swap system on here, like an internet library but I doubt my books would be of interest-they're true crime. Maybe I could pair them up and sell sets-it's really not the money(altho I'd never say no to cash) I need the room!!!!!

Hello, yes when I sell on eaby i guess timate the postage by weighing it on kitchen sccales & then looking at their link to royal mail web site to work out the postage...... but be careful as ocassionally i have not charged enough and basically not made any money but if you put it on for too much then people wont buy it, i normally send stuff recorded or at least give buyers option of recorded and if they dont chose that then it is sent at their own risk and i obtain proof of postage....
You can put stuff on ebay with a collect only option..... so for the larger things it is ideal.
Also have a look on ebay and see what similar items are selling at to give you an idea on a start price, they charge extra from reserve price and buy it now price.....

Maybe you are one of the lucky ones then, I did email them to ask if how I thought it worked was the way it worked and no response, I still think iti s a gamble you could buy a lot of bids and not win a thing.
Good luck & well don.
