Was just on H's email looking at some photos and an email he's sending to his mum and noticed an email between him and the boys about all of them going to the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
Apparently the plan is 2 weeks in Brazil, just the lads, watching football and boozing.
I have to laugh as we have already agreed that we're saving for a family holiday back to Mexico in May 2014 before we're tied to school holidays so how H thinks that a two week jolly to Brazil a month later is feasible I've no idea
What was even funnier was that all the married husbands were saying they'd be able to convince their wives to let them go.
I've not told H I've seen the email, going to wait for him to drop it into conversation. But I find it hilarious!

Maybe we will see him there hep? My h seems to think that I'd be willing to spend my precious annual leave in brazil for the World Cup, allegedly Itl be educational for L. I mean I'd love to go to brazil but for the World Cup ? I couldn't imagine anything worse [rollseyes]
I am sure most of the married men will not be going for 2 weeks!

They all seemed to think they will be HN, 2 weeks lads holiday, the emails were very funny!
I'd love to go to Brazil too CP, no way for the football though!
I do understand its a BIG DEAL but seriously, it's going to cost a bomb and 1 month after a big family holiday, plus the annual leave... No chance!
Being husband free for 2 weeks during the WCup is strangely appealing as I'd not have to watch any football but this wife isn't going to say yes that's for sure!

I'd love it if my H was into football, and wanted to go to Brazil for 2 weeks. The most I get is a couple of hours once a month when he goes fishing.

Would you really be happy to spend all that money on a lads holiday AK?! I can think of a lot of better ways to spend the money!

Erm, its not a big deal though . The thought honestly fills me with horror! Could you imagine 2 weeks at the World Cup
Not sure if iv said on here before but we went to the World Cup in Germany! My h was planning to propose there (I'd have died, then reincarnated and dumped him on the spot if he would have dared propose at a f**king World Cup match!) but thankfully he thought his mates would laugh at him so he didnt (praise The Lord!). He's already got dilusions that when we retire WE (as in us!!!) will do 'the perfect season' with man city (ie EVERY...SINGLE...MATCH!)
Ha ha, that's the sort of thing my brother would say. Thankfully my h is too tight to pay for that sort of holiday.
One of his mates is supposedly getting married in Las Vegas that year. I can't think of anywhere I'd less like to go if we ha that sort of money to blow on a holiday. Hardly an ideal location to visit with 2 kids is it?!

CP I think our OH's sound very similar! God there's no way I'd have put up with H proposing at the WC! I'd have died and killed him too

Ha ha cp, just read that out to h and he laughed. Thankfully we live hours from old Trafford so I'm safe on that one!

Vegas with 2 kids? No thanks!
Leave them home and go though, I LOVE Vegas!

WH - wash your mouth out! Its eastlands!!!
H says he was going to try to find a quiet spot at the World Cup to propose and it wouldn't have been tacky!
18/01/2013 at 19:38
I don't reckon it'll happen thankfully! They have 2 kids too and no money. In fact they live with his parents! I told p he can go and I'll go to Hawaii or somewhere else with the kids!

Now *that* is a plan WH!
I'm still laughing at the boys all going 'yeah we'll sort the wives out' !!
Even I've been there cp, in fact my nan once tripped during a tour of the stadium, passed out, had to be ambulanced to what ever the hospital is there. En route they picked up a domestic who had wet himself in the really crap bit! Mum was delighted as you can imagine. Nan got a lovely bunch of red and white flowers and we all got tickets to a game!

I can so imagine it. And I bet they all go up to the wives really sheepishly begging to go in a 'so and so is allowed' teenager way! When do they intend to ask do you think? You all so need to get together and pretend you're all going on a girls weekend away right in the middle of it!
18/01/2013 at 19:49
Flight prices etc aren't released until the summer so I've no idea WH, can you imagine the cost? Flights, 2 weeks accommodation, tickets for games, spending money, travel insurance...!! £££££££
18/01/2013 at 19:53
Oh yes, mega bucks. Even flights to Germany for the World Cup were ridiculously expensive!
18/01/2013 at 21:45
Love the fact they are all going to get their wives to agree. Can you imagine the cost?!?
18/01/2013 at 22:02
Oh yes, we're all just going to say yes, just like that!
