Hi Cathx, welcome to the site.
Generally your last period start date is the initial guide to predicting when baby will arrive. You then have your 'Dating scan' between 10-14wks which will then give you the due date your midwife/dr will use for the remainder of your pregnancy (this date can move forward or backward from your original date but rarely stays the same). For the time being I'd take the average between your two dates & say you are about 7wks.

It will normally be the approximate age of the faetus that they provide at the scan. If you think of the Clearblue digital pregnancy test with conception indicator they will tell you on the test that you are 1-2wks but the dr will tell you 3-4wks so on the same basis take 2wks of from your scan date to work out when you roughly conceived.
