Get better soon,Laura.Hope the kids don't get too sick too.
We had 4 confirmed cases of the Oink among Harry's friends, one of them being a generally nice but over the top drape herself over anyone she says hello to type and she did have a nasty cough when she walked home with us last week.He was feeling rough Friday.Merlin's a bit warm and quiet.I've been feeling a bit poo the last couple of days and I just hada call off Bridie's friends Mum(she's at his bowling party today) could she give her calpol cos she's got a headache.Hope it's missed us.
Hope you're well soon.

Apparently since we have symptoms we are too late for tamiflu? Im not complaining though roos sister and dp had it and it made them vomit badly!
Kids have been pretty good, had a decent nap, had a few squables but nothing bad so we can just sit around like vegetables!
I REALLY hope the kids dont get it!

Get well soon Laura, and I too hope your children don't get it. Nasty for some, I hear tamiflu can make you feel worse as well so if you are okay without it then probably better. A lady at work her daughter at work who is 13 has it and has been really poorly since thursday, she is taking tamiflu in case but might be making her feel more rough.
Really hate this time of year too many bugs going around, one they go to school/nursery/childminderse they pick up everything going !!!
Get well soon

We have the Oink here too.Harry's flu Friday wasn't too bad,but he did have it a few months ago, don't know if that helped himor maybe he just had man flu this time .Bridie's a lot sicker,I phoned the Swine flu people ,they gave me a code, and you have to then phone NHS Direct, and then I got some Tamiflu.
It doesn't cure it,it's supposed to relieve the symptoms and reduce the illness by a day.In return it adds vomiting to the list of your symptoms and liver damage to the list of possible complications. What would you prefer?A day less, but you'll feel worse anyway,or just have the flu with the side effects of the Tamiflu.Bridie's already feeling rotten, she doesn't want tobe sat on the bathroom floor with her head down the loo, unable to even keep fluids down. We're going to go with the lots of drinks and calpol option.

tamiflu made roos family very very ill!
Id say go with calpol rest and if necessary get some of the cold/flu medicines for them, lola has the boots cough one and its really helping her!
