Well, the story goes.. We had a new oven and grill a while back.
Desperate for food that we actually cooked following weeks of having no kitchen, we stripped out the packaging from the oven, and stuck it on. 5mins later the food was still cold, but the grill (which we'd not removed the packaging from) was completely smoking - we'd turned the wrong one on, and the plastic packaging had melted everywhere and smoke was billowing out / smelling hurrendous.
We've kind of just ignored this issue. We scrubbed it unsucessfully at the time, and now that the plastic has cooled, its et really very hard, and TBH i'm really not sure what to do with it...
Any ideas as to the solution to this very, very random cleaning problem.....?

Heat it back up, and carefully scrape it off?

Depends on what sort of packaging it was? Polystyrene will be pretty hard to remove - it does not really dissolve in solvents. Clear plastics might be easier... Whatever you decide I would be tempted to get your h to deal with it as plastics have lots of nasty chemicals! So lots of ventilation.
