We're discussing being overdue in the office - anyone who was (or is?!) overdue and got tips for what helped/helps, what your concerns were and how it all panned out?

both of my pregnancy, i'm overdue 3-4 days. i made my hubby to have sex. hee hee.. told him is the last time before i'm full recover from the pain ... (6 mths for the first child!!) but nothing happen!!
my greatest concern is the baby might get to big if she/he stays in there for too long! no good if he/she coming out by the other end.

All of mine were overdue, but one.
Harry was 5 days over.My waters began leaking,I wouldn't say they broke, around 3 days over.24 hours later I was induced.25 hours later he was born, they tried ventouse, but eventually had to use forceps cos he just didn't want to come out.
Bridie was 5 days over,Erin 9 days over,Arthur 7 days over, all straightforward normal deliveries.Arwen was next, she was 3 days early, which was more of a shock than the late ones,I just assumed she'd be late too.Matilda was 8 days late. She was big,she was lying awkwardly, she got stuck, she was ventouse.Merlin was 11 days late,he did the same as Matilda, but there were other problems and he was a section. With him I was getting pains for the last week, quite strongly, then the last three evenings they were so regular I could time them, then they'd disappear. In the morning I'd wake up,still pregnant, still waiting.
My biggest babies were my latest,my tiniest was the early one, she's still quite small now.
The greatest concern was just the waiting, not knowing when, you don't know if you can just pop down the high street for that something you need. You don't know if you ought to get something out the freezer for dinner cos you don't know if you'll be here then. You just can't plan. This just goes on and on.
You're that sick of the "haven't you had that baby yet" comments and you're ready to clobber the next person who suggests sex as a cure over the head with your maternity notes, cos you're that sick of carrying them everywhere too.
I think the thing to bear in mind though is that your due date is actually just an estimate, based on a 28 day cycle and a cardboard wheel. We're human beings and there's not accurate way of predicting how long till both you and your baby are ready.Lots of people have lots of ideas about how to bring on labour but they're unlikely to work ,and if they do it's more a case of coincidence than much else

Lol thought there was only me hearing that kind of comments.. I wasn't eve overdue, but had was in pain cause of weight. So tried anything to start labour, about 10 days before due date was trying these things:
Pinapple, not sure about the effect.
Polished my kitchen floor twice, on all four. Yes, could feel something changing in bump. Would do again.
Walking. Not sure, don't think it worked.
Clary Sage essential oil in bath. Don't think it helped to kick the labour, but it was absolutely fantastic soothing the pain of contractions, just sniffing it.
Thats about it, so I was doing all these things for about the last 10 days of pregnancy and the labour started on due date.

I was very overdue with Harry, two weeks - I tried the walking and raspberry leaf tea, I also tried acupuncture none of which worked, although I have since been told I should have gone for more than one session of acupuncture.
I was induced, he really didnt want to come out.
A good friend of ours have two they recommended, long walk, hot curry & sex, (not necessarily in that order!) this was recommended to them by their midwife and worked on both occasions, but I was to worried about sex while heavily pregnant.
Harry was only 7lb 2 despite being 2 weeks over.
I was also sick of the question, have you had that baby yet! ERM LOOKING AT ME NO!
