I had a blood test this morning (I've been having palpatations a lot recently so they want to check my thyroid and iron levels, going for an ECG tomorrow) and I ended up having a huge lump straight after she'd done it - she blamed me for moving my arm, but I think it's more likely to do with how she took the needle out and damaged the vein. Anyway, the lump is still there and very tender, and has now bruised horribly.

Ouch Deedee do you normally bruise easily (I bruise like a peach) if not that is a doozy!

Thanks for the sympathy everyone, still tender this morning although bit better than yesterday and the lump has gone down a little bit, but the bruising looks worse!
Alsi - I do normally bruise very easily, but not this badly, and not usually from blood tests - this is the first time I've bruised from one in years, and the last time was because they struggled to find a vein but the bruises were much smaller and no huge lump.

Thanks bw, it's feeling slightly better this afternoon. ECG was fine so luckily nothing seriously wrong - just need to wait about a week for the blood test results now.

Ah that's rubbish, I've ended up with a few like that over years. Combination of terrible teeny veins and pale (almost see through!) skin. Hope it feels better soon xx
