I am hoping it will go better at least they will be able to see we are not lying about the adaptions to the house etc.

Oh that's terrible :( Sorry they seem to have messed you around and he put off another appointment for it... I am wondering if they do the step thing on purpose because where I had mine done was steps too...wondering if they watch you?
It must of had disabled access somewhere but it wasn't visible too me.
Fingers crossed for the assessment at home..might be easier to show what you need around the house.

Well at least they will see the grab rails, the raised chair, the raised toilet toilet to help get off the toilet, step to get in the shower, grabber to pick things off the floor, bed in the living room for bad day's, Until last summer being really ill due to severe heart failure spending a total of 26 days in hospital (8 days in, six home and then another 18 in) my H just got on with life working around 40 hours a week despite having Beckers Muscular Dystrophy (BMD). Now he does around 10 hours a week. The BMD has caused the heart failure. Fortunately the heart failure is currently stable. We are just waiting for a second opinion on heart transplant. H can do steps but with difficulty he describes it as the sideways crab.
From what he said the assessment centre didn't have a lift to the first floor just from the first floor to higher floors. Not sure what would happen if someone arrived in a wheelchair. It would help getting PIP but ultimately I don't care I think what we really want is for him to get on the transplant list.
