drifter- yes. the last apt after the cardiologist had gushed how well he had done and how he was so glad they hadn't given up on him when he was in intensive care, made fell quite tearful. then Luke booted him whilst he tried to examine him.
weekender- routine, but he needs an echo (like a scan you have when pregnant) of his heart. it's not painful but a bit frightening for a little boy to have to lie down still whilst they press on your chest and neck area.

we are back. he shouted the place down, kicked and screamed, refused to undress, kept trying to sit up during the echo, cried during the blood pressure monitor, and then when it was all over happily and politely waved goodbye to everyone including all the med students lined up look at his images. and this was after we'd done lots of talking and practising what would happen. No changes (good) and medication to be kept at the same dose which is positive as it's technically a lower dose when you factor in his weight gain, he will continue to keep a close eye on his narrow valve (aortic stenosis for anyone who is interested).

Great that it all went well medically, and sounds like he was being a typical preschooler while he was there! Xx

Awe bless him, good news that there's no change.
I remember L had swollen restocked and I had to take him into work, got the absolutely lovely consultant (very softly spoken, excellent with children, lovely man) and L screamed the place down! It didn't start well as he didnt want to be weighed, and went down hill from there! All you could hear was 'don't pull my pants down' o the shame! He then went round everyone later and said bye bye! Lol
