To save money houses need to be well insulated so I was thinking in my new home I would have one wall completely filled with bookcases from top to bottom and that would nicely insulate one room at least.
I have lots of ideas - what about you?

That's practical thinking, I wouldn't think of anything like that. My ideal home would have 3 decent size bedrooms, nice size kitchen and living room and a dining room which I would turn into a kids play room. I would also like a big south facing garden all for a price of 150k - I don't ask for much ha ha.

That would be fab QI! I love that idea! Not an issue over here, we need ways to keep places cool!
We are looking at the moment and struggling! I would ideally like 4 double bedrooms, a study and at least one en suite bathroom upstairs. A kitchen with dining area, living room and another reception room to become a playroom. Plus a good sized garden with a view! H wants a swimming pool but with the kids, I'm not keen. It seems to get this, we need to review our budget

We have a detached 4 bed house with separate utility and office built in the garden we are lucky that the bedrooms are doubles and the one we are turning into a play room soon. My ideal house would be 4 or 5 bedrooms (so we could have the office/study) a larger kitchen and another reception room and also ensuite bedroom

I'd love to build my own place. My ideal would be four bedrooms (we'll never afford in the area I want), plus a bathroom and additional loo either en suite or WC. Nice kitchen with an Island, store cupboard with additional booze fridge, lounge that's nice and comfy. Nothing too conventional, odd shaped floors or rooms on varying levels.
