yesterday H forgot to pick him up at school, so he was left....alone....looking sad and asking 'why has no one come for me , teacher phoned my work and i was so apologetic and phoned Hs office and had a big sweary rant at hime (apparently is assistant didnt remind him! you know, my h, the adult who should actually be able to remember simple instructions!)
anyway L stayed for his dinner and then H picked him up and he came running out saying 'why did you forget me' h said he felt like sh!t on the bottom of Ls shoe
so today it looked a bit dull, i put L in his school trousers, he wanted his school shorts on i said no it would likely be cold (a total guess as we were running late and i didnt check the weather) anyway sun now splitting trees!
anyway i phoned the cm and she was laughing saying L is NOT happy as all the boys in his class (i cant imagine its all the boys ) were wearing their school shorts and hes be 'devastated' all day! apparently he got a bit dramatic about it with the teacher so they had to go through the bag of clothes they use if a child has an accident and hes got a pair of tatty grey school shorts on now.
so not only is he abandoned, he now has to be dressed by school too, the shame!

i think it must be hard being 4!
yes h got him, the cm phoned to remind him, i phoned maybe a million times and he set his alarm, and he remembered. he is a 34 year old man who is in a managerial posittion yet needs to be spoon fed with the simplist tasks!
i shouted at the woman in his office yesterday as she said h was too busy for her to interupt him with messages and i said he hadnt picked up L and she laughed! she said 'o whats he like' and i said well im glad you find it funny that a 4 year old is in tears at school, so she shut up immediately and then h came on really sheepish and i told him (very swearily to get to school)
Aww poor Lucas.
We were chatting at the weekend about my Mum picking C up from school on a Friday from September (she currently has him on a Friday), and my nephew (now 17) was there and was telling me about the time my Mum fell asleep and forgot to pick him up My nephew was apparently crying and really upset obviously, and won't let my mum forget it! It has worried me slightly, I can imagine me ringing my Mum every week to make sure she's remembered

Poor lucas, sadly this sounds like something my H would do. I hope L isn't going to be scarred for life

Poor little urchin! We have the shorts debate every morning. All because his best friend permanently wears shorts because his mum says he grows out of trousers too quickly'

I put Lou in shorts yesterday he fell over and scuffed his knee really badly. If he was in joggers it wouldn't have been so bad. I felt awful!

I have a reminder set in my outlook to remind me on the day I work and have to do the school run. It pops up and says 'Go home' 15 minutes before I need to leave. Maybe your H could do something similar. I'm always worried I'll forget because I work different hours the other two days.
