hello kim, i had very bad pnd with my first baby in 2010, and is expecting my second end of august. i hope i will not get it again! how do you feel about taking anti-depression pills? i know most people and doctors try to avoid it. i was against it too, but only started taking them when my son was 7 months old. it helped me so much, and would take them again if i get pnd with my second one? i only took them for a few months, then i was fine! it is heart braking for me to admit, that i did not bond and enjoy the first few months of my baby's life, and if it means to take a tablet to help me cope and enjoy my baby's first few months, i will do it!
hope this helps!!!!

My sister went through a really awful bout of PND. The best thing she ever did, she says now, was to talk about it seriously to her other half and they went to the GP together. Her hubby had noticed how badly she'd been suffering, and he could back her up and help her say what was needed to the doc. They got through it together - you're not alone.
