*Really* stuck on what to get my niece who is 10.
She isn't remotely girly - has never liked dolls or traditionally girly things, HATES make up, skirts etc and clothes don't interest her at all. She is into one direction but everyone is buying her one direction stuff - I'm actually getting her their new dvd but have £30 or so left to spend. she's getting a 1d onesie, so that's nightwear done.
my sis is a bit rubbish so they're not into board games or anything like that as a family - stuff like that isn't allowed to be brought out so doesn't get played with. she's not a reader. my sister has talked a bit how hard she is to buy for at the moment but I don't want to ask her again as she just turns her nose up at any suggestions.

Books, stationery, more DVDS, iTunes voucher, bag for school, clothes, converse or vans or other trainers?

How about a tickets to go see something/someone or you could give her 'I owe you' for a day out somewhere?

E is proper girly so she's easy to buy for. What about clothes? The new 1D CD thats due out? E also loves the Now CD's, a new one is coming out at the end of the month.
Roller skates, skateboard, scooter?

Thanks for ideas al - didn't know there was a new cd due so that could be an idea, also the now one and other dvds - they do watch a lot of films and I could pick something for her specifically, as she has a little brother so tend to stick to things that suit him.

Converse would be good. depending on her shoe size, they would be less than £30.
My SD is 10 but shes a very grown up 10. Her big things on the list are air jordans, a juicy tracksuit, River island clothes, nail varnish and a ted baker handbag!

Rod K wanted Jordans for her birthday I told her to do one. She's not an American basketball star therefore she doesn't need the hideous footwear. I just about managed to buy her the Timberlands she wanted.

I hate them but I think H wants to get them for her for dancing. Yuk. They look like doll shoes!
