Good to see you back! How did the move go? Are you all settled in?

It went as smoothly as stubble on a sharp rock.
Basically the new owners turned up at 12.30 trying to chase me out of my old house and rushed me out and then the old owners of my new house didn't leave until 6pm, it actually got to the stage of my solicitor threatening to issue a notice to failure to complete or something like that to get them out of the house. All my organisation went out the window as it became a case of throw everything in the lounge because I was already paying the removals guys overtime. Three weeks after moving I had everything in the right rooms and it is only this weekend where the house just looks a mess rather than as if we have just moved in!
But other than issues with my Ex I LOVE my new house and I'm so pleased to be in MY home
Thank you for asking
I built the chicken coop on Tuesday night after them ballsing up the delivery of that - another long story and our chickens are coming tomorrow. Any random tips would be gratefully received

What a nightmare, glad it got sorted in the end. It must feel great to have a place where you can make your own memories now and put your own stamp on it.
How exciting about the chickens! They love dust baths (good for keeping away red mite, though you might want red mite powder on hand) and I do kissy noises at mine, especially the chicks (we got a pair of day-old chicks 6 weeks ago), when I feed them so that they get used to me but I can make that noise when I need to herd them up!

Sorry to hear the move didn't go smoothley. Glad you love your new house. How exciting keeping chickens, have they arrived. My only thought from others experience making sure they are safely in the coop at night due to foxes. An aquitances duck was traumatized when some of her ducks and all the chicks were killed by a fox.

Really pleased that you're all in the new house, how are the kids getting on at new schools/nurseries?
Sorry you had a few issues moving, as for the ex can you train your chickens to attack him whenever he comes over? Death by overenthusiastic pecking...what a way to go.
