I have received a copy of a letter sent to my GP about B from the consultant peadatrician.
It is full of inaccuracies. It says that B can tolerate bran and weetabix when he can't. Soemtimes it refers to B as her. I says the maternal grandmother has food allergies, no she doesn't. It says that B has had several admissions to hospital for bronchiolitis - nope that was Ursual. It also says eh was recently admitted to hospital and ahd AB admission. He was admitted but didn't have ABs.
It says all of his tests have come back clear though and he is being referred to a dietician.
What do I do about this if anything?

I'd call your practice and ask what to do next. They should be able to point you in the right direction

Typically line engaged - the first paragrapgh states that he has a history of explosive stools after eating dairy containing ice cream... Erm no the mother explained she didn't have a lot of dairy in her diet but noticed when she ate dairy containing ice cream he had explosive stools several hours later. I wasn't given my 8 week old ice cream!

Got through to the GP practice and they are organising for the GP to phone me on Monday.

I would complain to the consultants secretary about it too.

Sounds like they have very ineffectively copied and pasted and totally ballsed it up. I have to double check everything from our local hospital, they are equally useless with paperwork.

It does look like they have cut the information up and thrown it into the air and re-rdered it to make sense. So the information is correct but not in the right way IYSWIM? I think I will write out each of the inaccuacries with a correction.

Mark it in best teacher style!
But you also need the correct report with the correct info, as does your GP. Will you complain to the hospital? I think you need to, that wasn't one little mistake, that's a whole letter of them.

If I mark it in current teacher fashion I'll have to find two positives for every negative and I may eb there for a very long time! I think I'll type it up and send them a copy gobsmacked.
