If you have the box, does it have "POM" on the back? If so its Prescription Only Medicine. If it has a "P" on the back of the box you can get it from the pharmacy x

Its in a bottle, no box....just off for a look!!! That's great to know!!

Nope....no P and no POM. Damn!!!

Can you not ring your GP and ask them to do a prescription for it? If I can't get an appt at my GP they will normally do this in emergencies.

Hmmmmm.....I'm not sure they would. He was only prescribed it yesterday....but already he is a different baby!! I cannot afford, for my own sanity, to run out of this magic stuff lol!!!

I would call your GP and tell them that it has been prescribed at the hostpital, it is already helping and if they will not prescribe it you will be going back to hospital. I also think you should slip in there about the OJ advice

Ive been trying to call them for two hours....engaged......constantly......what a ball ache.

If it's been prescribed by the hospital then there's no reason why they shouldn't tide you over until you can get an appointment. If they don't want to do that then insist on an emergency appointment today.
just kick *** when you get through!

or even pop down there at some point and dont be moved until they give you a presription!

I have a feeling that you can buy it over the counter, can you try phoning your local pharmacy and see if they can tell you?
15/07/2013 at 10:54
Balls.......its prescription only.
I'm not sure I have the energy for this!!

Oh that's rubbish! Hopefully you can get through to your Dr's and they can give you a prescription, I know when I came out of hospital it was done within the day of me registering and not even seeing anyone... so fingers crossed for you!

I hate my surgery.... I've been on hold for 20 mins just to speak to a receptionist.... Doesn't look good for an appointment does it!!!
15/07/2013 at 11:19
F*ck the appointment, get yourself down there and refuse to move until you have the prescription!
15/07/2013 at 11:45
I'm sure the GP will just give you a repeat. You shouldn't need an appointment.

I'm finding it quite hard to drive after my op. so have walked down there. They took a copy of my discharge letter and asked me to call at 3:30 to speak to the duty dr in te hope he will write a prescription. No bookable appointments for over two weeks....madness! And they wonder why people go to A&E with trivial things these days.

Definitely prescription only, N was on it for almost a year. Why have they only given you a small amount? The bottles have at least 100mls in them, should last ages.

I have no idea....it's not even a third full!
