Sorry a really boring post but with christmas coming up and my 4 year old just having a bday we need to get rechargeable batteries For his toys. Anyone here use them and where is best/cheapest place to buy? Thanks

Look at eneloop's they are expensive, but they are very good, overnight to charge, but they hold their charge and work better than normal batteries - example an innotab on normal batteries would last around 2 hours, with the eneloop rechargeable batteries they would do around 5-6 hours, we have invested in them as they seem to be the best. Amazon sell them. The tech bit of it is that they hold the charge at the top end for longer, so great for high power usage digital camera's, most kids toys etc, whereas most batteries have a trickle drain that loses the top end quickly but still have a lot left at the bottom end but not enough power to run things.

We got some from Wilkinsons at the weekend. They had an offer on.

We always buy our (rechargeable) batteries online - we just google and look for the best deals.

Eneloops have good reputation with photographers lots use them in their flash guns and they eat batteries.
They are a bit cheaper on the 7 day shop too: www.7dayshop.com/sanyo-eneloop-ready-to-use-rechargeable-aa-hr6-mn1500-nimh-batteries-min-1900mah-pack-of-4
