my H is going in for an op tomorrow, its a big thing for him and the outcome could really change our lives. I'm scared about him not being ok after, I'm scared about him getting really down like after the last op and being really poorly. I'm going to miss him so much, i'm also fretting about O starting at a new childminders next week, he's been so much clingier lately I hate the though of leaving him. E is going to really miss his daddy whilst he is in hospital. the hospital where H will be is an hour and a half away, I'm not sure when I'll get to visit him as I can't ask anyone to have O for me as he has chicken pox, and my parents work. I'm driving him there tomorrow but I can't go in with him because O will be with us as we have no option but to take him and even though H understands I feel bad for him that I won't be there.
I feel like crying.

Sending you hugs - what a difficult situation to be in. Try to focus on the future when he is recovered and all is good again.

Aw, ML, it sounds like everything has piled on you in one big go, I hope it all goes ok for your H, for you and for the kids. In the hallowed words of hitched of old - This too shall pass

Fingers crossed everything goes to plan tomorrow.
I'm sure the new child minder will work out fine - and remember he didn't like the last one anyway.
Its going to be a tough few days but you will get through them.

Thank you all. Just dropped him off x

Good luck with it all xxx
P.S. If you have anyone who could babysit O, ask them - I would happily have a child with chickenpox round as all mine have had it so it makes no difference to me. People are normally happy to help out, especially for something like this xx

I hope the op has gone well (unless it is tomorrow) and echo re asking for help. I hasn't had CP but I have so would happily leave her with someone and look after yours so you could see H.

Hope all is okay ML

I hope it went well. Hope LOs chicken pox dries up soon so you can ask someone else to have him. Have you any friends who have children who've already had it you can leave him with?
Hope H is soon out and recovers ok x

thanks. the op went well fingers crossed he's now working as he should and there's no complications. O was so grumpy and clingy whilst he was poxified I wouldn't have asked anyone to have him, apart from my mum as it would be too much hard work!
We went to our new childminders this morning so I could sign forms. Both the boys really like her (E won't be going to her regularly but there's a chance he might have to now and again) and we had a coffee and a natter and I feel SO much happier about O going there, so he starts settling in sessions on Monday.
Oh, and E is off school today with conjunctivitis!
Please please can we have some good stuff now!

Glad to hear the op went well, hope he makes a good recovery.
Great news re the childminder as well, although not so good about the conjunctivitis - you really do deserve some good things happening now, hope you get them xx
