So, reports of revellers dancing on pictures of Maggie Thatcher. Rejoycing in her death. WTF?

Disgusting IMO. You don't have to agree with her policies or actions, but celebrating her death is just wrong.

I'm not surprised after seeing some of the comments there's been on Twitter and FB since yesterday! Very wrong to celebrate her death like that no matter what your opinion of her is.

It's disgusting. I hope the family are being shielded from it.

I think it's terrible, like others have said, regardless of what she's done, she's still someone's wife, mother, grandmother. Some of the stuff posted on facebook has been disgusting.
I don't get what everyone's moaning about either. I mean, there aren't many women out there with balls as big as hers. And was the country really worse off then than it is now.... Exactly. It's a disgrace. Poor woman's family should be allowed to grieve and get on with their mums/nans death the same way any of us would. They are putting her in the same box as bin laden and Saddam...people need to get a grip!

I think that's awful, we weren't fans at all (being Scottish she basically used us as guinea pigs for a lot of stuff!) but she was a mum and grandmother and I think it must be awful for her grieving family to see all this vitriol. I actually think the funeral may attract protests/violence :-(
What gets me is the people doing this stuff are youngsters, younger than me, so they are only going on hearsay. They didn't live through it, OK their families may have done but I bet those actually affected by her decisons in the late 70s early 80s would be disgusted by this behaviour also.

Having grown up in the 80's and 90's (through the fallout of her Conservative govt.) I don't much like lots of the things she did. But you're right, some of the things people are saying and doing are vile. I can separate the fact that that she was ultimately just a woman, doing a job - a historically male role to boot. I hope she's not the only woman PM I see in my lifetime.

i dont really know exactly how bad it was as i was born in 86...but i dont think anyone should celbrate anyones death

I obviously float through life oblivious but as an 80's child I can't get worked up about her. She's still a person and she did her job. Whether to agreed with her or not her family have the right to get on in peace. Cheering and celebrating when an old lady dies is just weird IMO.
I've been been totally disgusted by how some people have reacted to Maggie's death, like everyone has said, whatever she has done she and her family do not deserve this treatment. I'm really quite shocked.

Its awful, I got a bit upset last night - not cos she was dead or cos I loved her, but cos I thought are there people in the world who might hate me enough, or my mum enough to be pleased when we died? Then again I'm fairly emotional anyway

TT are you well known then?
