A bit shocked and surprised to find the finished bedside cabinets that my H has spent all afternoon building are a full 29cm narrower, 18 cm shorter and 4cm less deep than advertised on the company's website. A little bit annoyed after waiting 32 days for them to be delivered.
I have emailed to complain but I am dreading them just saying we can return them. They are built now and they match the chest of drawers we got last month so as much as we are annoyed that they aren't what we expected, we just aren't happy for that as a resolution.
On discovering this I have also went to their website looking for reviews etc and found a customer questions section where other customers had queried the sizes as far back as January and the company have acknowledged the discrepancy but still haven't corrected it on the site!
What would you expect from them now?!

Suppose the question really is what are you wanting from them? Are you happy to keep them and the chest of drawers if they compensate in some way? Or do you want a refund on both the chest if drawers and cabinets? Bottom line is those are the only real options and only you can decide which is the best outcome for you. If you return them I'd expect them to arrange to have them collected at their cost.

I want them to send us some kind of refund/vouchers and keep the items. Just not sure how realisic that is!

So are they half the size you expected? If you want to keep them I would say 'they are half the size we expected so we will be happy for your to refund the price of one of them.' I am a bit of a chancer though...

I think I am maybe a bit of a chancer too AlsiT which is why I thought I better get some outside opinions before I let rip ha. Although H is telling me to be nice to them...

Nah if you don't ask you don't get - I would def give it a go but I would also be nice as your H says. The cost to get them sent back and the fact they can't sell them on makes reimbursing just one an easy option IMO. They have missold you in my book.

I doubt they would give you a full refund along with you keeping them. I would want some money ack though as I'd probably need more storage. I think initially they will offer you a refund along with you returning them
