Why don't you join our weight loss threads? There's loads of different methods, plain calorie counting or weightwatchers, slimming world etc. Get walking as much as you can with the buggy to burn some extra calories but mainly don't eat anything you know you shouldn't, cakes etc. Try to meal plan before you go shopping and make your list from that....then don't deviate from the list when you get there

But equally your baby is still very new, 8 weeks isn't long to get over childbirth. I'd try not to do too much at first, just a little at a time. Don't starve yourself, your baby needs those calories!

I've cut out 'bad' sugar and processed foods and try to snack on healthy fruit/veg or a handful of cashew nuts if I need to. I've cut portion sizes. Walking to places as often as possible. I allow myself a treat at the weekend and most weekends it is alcohol related

aw mm i wouldnt get worried about it or anything, iirc arent you teeny tiny? i may have the wrong person but i thought you were very slim (i seem to remember fromt the bump threads iyswim)
tbh baby is still very young so i wouldnt do anything drastic. you need your energy for the newborn iyswim. is there any buggy fit groups near you? baby yoga? or do you want something just for you? try the 30 day shred
my body has totally changed, i just assumed it was the pregnancys. im the lightest iv been in a long time but have quite big hips (im sure isaac stretched me by lying across the way for months )

I couldn't diet for the first few months, but I found lots and lots of pram walking worked wonders - we'd do between 1 and 2 hours every afternoon, depending on if he was sleeping/needed feeding etc, just around where we lived, so we could get home quick if needed. It helped me feel better about things as well (not that I'm saying you are feeling low, but I was and it helped to be out). As we got braver we'd walk around town, country park, etc. Walking helped me loose weight, feel better and fitter.
Have you got any of those buggy walking get fit classes near you?

MM bloody hell girl I've seen pics of you and you are mega slim, like a size 8 and you look amazing. Ok I get that you might not feel great but N is only 8 weeks old you need to give yourself breathing space, enjoy him and stop focusing on your weight. I struggle to believe you need to lose anything so if anything do exercises to tone up like yoga or even swimming but if you lose too much weight you are going to be underweight again. Xx

One of my super slim antenatal friends said that she was broader across the rib cage afterwards so although she was down to the same weight as before she never quite got the same shape back again. You may find the same thing happens to you. Just aim to eat sensibly - avoid the stuff you knowxyou shouldn't.
Incidentally don't let your H's lack of confindence with the baby prevent you carving out some time for yourself. Your H will soon develop ways of calming baby himself and its good for both of them so I would say make sure you do something on your own - running or just going for a walk if you want to exercise or anything at all.
