There is an email in H's email account with a link to my birthday present Now, do I read the email and find out what he's ordered for me, or do I be good and wait until my birthday. All I know is that it's from Notonthehighstreet, which means it's probably one of the links that I sent him months ago, but I don't know which one it is.
Can I really wait 4 weeks to find out, the temptation is just too much. I could make it so that he doesn't know I've read the email, so he wouldn't even know I'd been in there.

WTS, wait! I'd be so tempted to look though.

Deedee, I wish he's just change his email account password so I aren't even tempted

Noooo! Don't do it! Although I'm terrible for this..

I wouldn't have hesitated to look. Even at 27, I open my presents under the Christmas tree, then re-wrap them...

AK - I like your style. I'm so tempted, even though i'd shortlisted the presents so I know it would be something i'd like, I just want to know which one.

Oh I'd have looked without hesitating!

Noooo don't look!

Don't do it! I always spoil things for myself, bit like when I rummaged through H's case for an engagement ring on holiday!

Workinghard, my mum ruined my engagement for me, she told me H was going to propose, and I have to admit I was disappointed to know that it was coming. I suppose I should be good and not look.

I would definitely have looked and then wished i hadnt. One Christmas my GHDs broke and i was at home getting ready for the work Christmas party. I knew H was getting me new ones so i hunted them down, unwrapped them, used them and packaged them back up again!! Needs must.....

Yep I'd have looked, but my h is sh1te at present buying and I'd look so I could brace myself although in all honesty he just about manages a box if thorntons so NOTHS I'd be def opening that email to see what on earth he'd chosen

Noooo, don't do it. At our age (speaking generally for those the wrong side of 30) we get very few surprises, you should take all the thrills you can get!

I have to confess I would have looked! I love surprises that I don't know about if that makes sense, so if H arrives home with a gift or someone just arrives at a party I wasn't expecting or something like that, but I hate surprises that I know are coming, so when H says, oh I bought you something today but then doesn't tell me what and I have to wait!
I think perhaps knowing at least where it was coming from and that it was likely one of a selection of things I could probably wait!
Well, I caved and I looked. I feel terrible, but so glad that I did check. He's ordered the right necklace, but he's ordered it in yellow gold rather than silver. I wouldn't wear it. I don't like yellow gold, he didn't realise he'd ordered yellow gold. He'd also ordered it on a 18inch chain, it would be like a cholker on me, and again, I wouldn't have been able to wear it. I feel bad that I sneaked a peep, and that I had to tell him that what he'd ordered was wrong, but I think i'd have felt worse on my birthday knowing i'd got a present that I wouldn't have been able to wear, which he'd have spend a fortune to have personalised. They company probably wouldn't take it back either with it being personalised.

Haha MM, that's so what I would have done!
Chids & WH, my H told me that he was going to propose, and even when he was going to do. All surprise gone! He's rubbish at keeping secrets, but at least I know he could never have an affair - keeping it a secret would kill him

Good job you looked Chids! Is H able to change his order? Next time just tell H that you'll order what you want and send him the bill
