Basically my OH was involed in a crash on Friday and has been signed off work for atleast 2-3 weeks.
He gets no company sick pay, just the statuory which I think from the website says it works out at £17 a day?
Obvioulsy, we are due to loose out on a wage for 2/3 weeks, possibly longer.
Is there anything else to help us out money wise?
We have already called the mortgage company to see if we can have a payment holiday and we don’t qualify, and we have little in savings, defo not enough to cover a months wages for him.

You might be able to apply for some council tax benefit for the period he is off. (every little helps) Contact your local Council.

Your poor H. Was the crash his fault? If not and it's going through insurance he should be able to reclaim loss of earnings from the other side.

Do you have protection on your mortgage? We don't have it as we get full sick pay but I think the protection is fab for the sort of situation you are in but I have no knowledge on how it works if you do have it.

No, the crash wasnt his fault, we will be claiming, just waiting for the police report or something (not really sure what it is) and then we can get started.
I thought we had mortgage protection but we haven't. But we will definatly be sorting something out for the future as this has well and truly messed us up.
